Worldview Analysis: Process Philosophy and American Government/Society The whole idea of “process philosophy”, according to Alfred N. Whitehead and Charles Sharthorne, arose from the sole belief that processes and events are the solution when defining ontological categories (Hausman, 2008). To simplify, these two elements give us a foundation to explain all life forms that exist in nature, among the many other things that exist that are related to life, for example. Although this idea is widely accepted in Einstein's worldview, it has also been applied to real life, playing a role in influencing people and society in all their relationships. This occurs mainly in the United States (Stanlick, 2013). On that basis, this article can create a relationship between philosophy and key aspects of American society, such as economics, family, and marriage. When it comes to the influence of process philosophy on our economy, the correlation between the two can only be traced from afar. What needs to be noted here is that a careful analysis of the logistics surrounding this concept shows that there is a connection to some of the key principles and boxes that have helped shape the economic existence of this great country. For example, Marxist, liberal, and Keynesian theories all share affinities with this philosophy (Stanlick, 2013). And Keynesian theory manages to maintain its relevance compared to the other two theories. This assertion can now be confirmed when we look back at historical periods such as times of war, for example. Keynes's theory focuses on a historical perspective. For this reason, process philosophy offers us guidance by prioritizing much of its historical experience while being more pragmatic in addressing human problems (Stroll & Popkin, 2014). It is therefore widely accepted that economics exists as an avenue to human helplessness and suffering while also giving us an outlet to exchange goods and services. This way of thinking allows us to find balance in completing transactions. This leads to the practical application of what Keynesian theory has given us, supported by process philosophy. It gives us options for survival and emphasizes the importance of our existence as human beings (Stanlick, 2013).
Worldview Analysis: Process Philosophy and American Government/Society And in doing so, we believe that adding economics to our lives has helped America and, ultimately, its economy. Furthermore, process philosophy continues to make certain assumptions about humans and society in general. The point when it comes to human nature is that the assumptions imposed on us go beyond simple liberalism to embrace individualism as well as Marxism. This hypothesis has helped encourage an economic system that is more developed than any other country in the world. This Marxist way of thinking also incorporates those within the state, where everyone strives to accumulate as much wealth as is economically feasible (Stroll and Popkin, 2014). This trend cannot be analyzed by communists as an economic solution concept. However, it helped our economy so much that we eventually outperformed all other states, such as the UK. When it comes to the concept of family and marriage, process philosophy has had a significant influence. Social theorists argue that the fundamental purpose of human life is to raise a family and form strong social bonds guided by the principles of care, love, and respect (Stroll & Popkin, 2014). This concept views human life as existing in a cyclical form. A person is born, grows up to get married, has children, and then dies. This way of thinking questions the place of marriage in human life because, without it, life cannot continue. The idea of marriage was respected and even encouraged, as divorce rates were almost nonexistent. But that didn't last as divorce rates went up rapidly, with marriages lasting five years on average (Stanlick, 2013). In addition, it is not the only thing affected here. There is also a lack of desire for children, and adoption is more prevalent. Regardless, how does process philosophy come into play? Human existence and how they integrate into society are said to be guided by natural ontological principles (Stroll & Popkin, 2014). But
