By day 3

Your video response should be between 3 to 5 minutes in length.
Example:
In the ACA Ethics Code (2014) Section C.2.d. emphasis is placed on clinician’s monitoring their effectiveness. The standard states “Counselors continually monitor their effectiveness as professionals and take steps to improve when necessary. Counselors take reasonable steps to seek peer supervision to evaluate their efficacy as counselors” (p. 8). This ethical standard has implications both in assessing the effectiveness of your own counseling practice and in your ability to accurately interpret and apply counseling research.
Main discussion post:
Section A.4.b of the 2014 ACA Code of Ethics discusses how important it is for clinicians to monitor their efficacy. The standard states “Counselors respect the diversity of clients, trainees, and research participants and seek training in areas in which they are at risk of imposing their values onto clients, especially when the counselor’s values are inconsistent
with the client’s goals or are discriminatory in nature” (p. 5). The diversity of the counselors' clientele should be considered, and research-based procedures should be modified accordingly. Counselors must acknowledge the cultural context of their research findings and ensure that the interventions or approaches they use suit the client's culture. For counseling professionals, this standard has several significant implications that affect the ability to analyze and use counseling research appropriately. It implies
how you evaluate the efficacy of your own counseling practice by maintaining guidelines and adhering to ethical principles. To effectively work
with individuals from varied backgrounds, counselors actively strive to comprehend and gain knowledge of culturally diverse groups.
