What is the typical anti-abortion (pro-life) argument?

The typical anti- abortion(pro-life) argument is that having an abortion is killing a human who has their own individual rights.
Abortion is murder and every human has a right to life.

What is the typical pro-choice argument?

Pro choice typically argues that a woman should have rights to decide rather she wants to have an abortion or not because it’s her body. What makes it okay to have an abortion… rape?

According to Marquis, why is there a standoff between standard anti-abortion (pro-life) and pro-choice views, and how can we resolve the standoff?

In the passage, Marquis says that there will always be two sides that both has claims that is always supported by moral principles. One of the ways to resolve the standoff is to show each side each other’s moral principle and analysis each claim.

What makes killing wrong, according to Marquis, and what does this imply about the morality of abortion?

To marquis, what makes killing wrong isn’t the effect of the murderer or even the relatives, it’s the effect on the victim. The one that is losing something. The one that had to be strong enough to go through with the abortion. Losing someone is hard because you’re losing your future with them also.
