Kiki,
Great job description. I think it is important for chaplains to be able to work with inmates
from all religious groups. Prisons have a mixture of many different religions, and each one may need spiritual advice at some point during their incarceration. While doing research for this topic, I read about how many inmates switch religions, between 26% and 50%. It’s impossible for prisons to keep up with the different religions in prisons and to have chaplains for those religions. Reference:

I also believe that prison chaplains should be required to provide services to correctional officers. Being a correctional officer can be very challenging. Prison chaplains can help officers
cope with the stress that comes with the job. Chaplains can also be a great resource for officers who have gone through a critical incident or crisis who are returning to work.
