Something I really enjoyed from the reading today is the right to administer in the Melchizedek
Priesthood that Abraham desired. As a priesthood holder in these days, it is crazy to think that
this all started because of him and how everyone who possesses the Melchizedek Priesthood is
an heir to the Abrahamic covenant. I found it interesting how before Abraham, you had to be in
the family in order to receive it. But now we can receive it from any worthy priesthood holder. It
really shows how important Abraham was in the goal of furthering the chruch to this day.
, I really enjoyed your insights from the reading today. It is crazy to
think about how much the priesthood and the church has changed and
evolved, but to me it is honestly a testament to its truth! I think at the
time, this is the only way that they could handle the priesthood, but we
are so blessed to live in a time with the fullness of the gospel on the
earth. I am so grateful for it! I love how you mentioned that priesthood
is an essential part of the Abrahamic covenant. I would add that the
sealing ordinance is also super important when it comes to the
Abrahamic covenant.

The profound significance of the Melchizedek Priesthood, as
highlighted in today's reading, resonates deeply with the
legacy of Abraham. It's fascinating to recognize that the
privilege to administer in this priesthood has evolved into a
universal inheritance for all worthy males members of the
church. In contrast to the ancestral exclusivity pre-Abraham,
the priesthood is now accessible through laying on off hands
by those who holds it. This transformation underscores
Abraham's pivotal role in advancing the Church through the
ages. As a contemporary priesthood bearer, the realization
that my authority stems from Abraham's desire for the
Melchizedek Priesthood is both humbling and awe-inspiring.
In President Nielson's talk, he expresses deep gratitude for the gospel of Jesus
Christ and emphasizes the profound joy that comes from living in harmony with
God's plan. Drawing a parallel between shopping patterns and life choices, President
Nielson underscores the importance of wise decision-making, particularly in the
sacred institution of marriage. The talk strongly advocates for the sanctity of
marriage between a man and a woman, asserting the virtue of a temple marriage
as the highest and most enduring. The connection between family, priesthood keys,
and eternal ordinances is highlighted, emphasizing the role of families in achieving
exaltation. I really love that talk.
