1)The preamble to the Omaha Platform showed several issues that were not working in America at the time. They expressed concern about the concentration of economic power and wealth in the hands of a few, the influence of interests on politics, and the suffering of farmers and workers due to economic inequality. Populists address these issues by advocating for measures such as free minting of silver to fight deflation, progressive income taxes, government ownership of transportation and communications infrastructure, and direct election of senators to save America. are doing. I believed that was important. Their goal was to promote economic and political reforms to empower the people and reduce the influence of elites. 2)The People's Party presented several concrete economic and political proposals on its platform. They advocated free minting of silver to gold in a ratio of 16:1, which would increase the money supply and help reduce deflationary pressures on farmers and debtors. To reduce economic inequality, populists proposed a progressive income tax system in which wealthy individuals would pay a higher percentage of their income in taxes. They called for public ownership and control of transportation and communications systems, such as railways and telegraph lines, to prevent monopolistic practices and ensure equitable access. Populists wanted senators to be directly elected by the people, rather than appointed by state legislatures, to make the political process more democratic. Their goal was to regulate and limit the power of large corporations. Populist parties primarily targeted farmers, workers, and small business owners who were suffering from economic hardship. They united rural and urban interests against what they saw as the oppressive influence of big banks, railroads, and corporate monopolies. 3) silver to gold ratio was never fully accepted. It was. The People's Party's demands for nationalization of transportation and communication systems, such as railways and telegraph lines, were not realized. Income tax the platform got this law to be accepted as establishing the federal income tax.
