Manna GOVT-2306- 71306 November 9, 2023 Texas Politics Semester Project Before developing a proper political campaign, it is important to understand and know about the specific political values and perceptions. Based on my Pew Political Typology test, the assignment shows that I am a stressed sideliner. In addition, I have used the same three issues that I identified after conducting A detailed geographical and demographic analysis of Texas District 12. Some of my values align with the Republican Party's ideas, but I have conducted a comprehensive analysis to show which of the values align with my political ideas. Part III: Your Party, Your Politics and Your Platform. The Pew Political Typology I took a Pew Political Typology test, and my results reveal that I am a “stressed sideliner.” The results from the test can be seen in Figure 1. My political activity can be explained as a blend of liberal and conservative ideas. I am usually liberal about economic problems, while I may be conservative on some social issues.

2 As a sideline, my most significant strength is my unique blend of liberal and conservative views that can enable me to balance my governance approach. As a candidate for the Texas state Senate, being a stressed sideliner can position me as someone who understands my constituency's unique and diverse perspectives. My ability to bridge political divides and effectively parallelise practical solutions over rigid party lines can resonate with my voters, who feel disconnected from the two major parties in the USA. This characteristic allows me to engage with our more comprehensive range of constituents, fostering collaboration and unity in addressing complicated issues facing Texas Senate District 12. In addition, my mix of views can be an acid within the state Senate to promote an inclusive and cooperative legislative environment that prioritises different needs of the community and seeks a bipartisan solution for the broader well-being of all residents.

3 Three issues stand to develop. After analysing my stressed sideliner typology and the analysis of the district, my platform would prioritise the same issues that I have recognised in previous parts of the assessment because they resonate with my constituents' diverse perspectives (Political Typology Quiz, 2023). My priority is to develop a strong economic agenda central to my platform. I want to propose policies that advocate stimulating job creation, a collaboration between local businesses and educational institutions, and vocational training. The employment rate in Texas District 12 is 84% in the private sector, and there are multiple industries, including professional services, healthcare, and educational manufacturing. It is imperative to introduce policies for upskilling the local population. This will not only address the economic concerns of the district, but it will also align with my stress sideliner's inclination toward liberal economic views. I want economic liberation among all the races and groups living in my district to promote harmony. I also want to promote comprehensive healthcare reform, considering 64.3% of residents living in Texas District 12 are within the working age category from 18 to 64. There should be a proper healthcare structure for the increasing ageing population of the district. Appropriate initiatives for improving access to affordable healthcare, facilitating a partnership between healthcare providers, and supporting mental health services are essential to my platform. This approach recognises the significance of balanced social policy while addressing the issue of the ageing population in the district. Lastly, I will be committed to improving suburban transportation because many cities in Texas District 12, including Flower Mound, Tarrant, and Dallas, California sector and improving transportation within these cities is extremely important. By advocating for these measures, I want to address the practical need for my constitution while highlighting my dedication to improving their daily lives.
