CHC30121_Module 7_Anecdotal Observation Record Analysis/Evaluation Section 2 v1.0 2 Through this experience with Cooper, he has continued to show developments of his fine motor skills. He has shown an interest in using his hands when it comes to playing, seeing how the objects feel when he holds them and figuring out how they move with the help of his fingers. He has also shown an interest in pulling himself up with the help of his educators or objects around him, this demonstrates that he is started to develop a sense of standing on his own and being able to move around independently, this uses his gross motor skills and will start letting Cooper to strengthen his balancing skills. Cooper has shown that he is able to understand the activities in front of him by looking at his educators and creating sounds to try and communicate, He is also seen smiling whilst playing with the playdough and has started to explore different textures, engaging with sensory play to enhance is cognitive development. What strategies did the educator/s use to support development across all the development domains and how effective were they for the child being observed? Educators demonstrated many techniques. They continued to support Cooper when he was looking to engage with him, this can be seen when Cooper wants to stand with the help of his educator. The educators also support Cooper’s development by allowing him to figure out what the toys can do, or how the playdough can be manipulated into shapes by using our hands. They allow him to explore and feel confident whilst also being close to continue to support Cooper or interact with him when he engages with them. The educators are spread out throughout the room at different stations to offer different types of activities to engage the children, they are also responsive to the children and react when necessary if a child needs help or wants to communicate with them.
