SUDS 102 Special Assignments Information I would suggest you work on this project as you go through each theory in the modules and the book.   Please  note your midterm term for this class is called the "midterm project".  It consists of an chart of the following counseling theories:  Psychoanalytic/Psychodynamic, Adlerian/Individual Psychology, Existential, Person-Centered, Gestalt Theory, Behavioral Therapy, Cognitive- Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Family Theory and Group therapy. For each theory list the following:  the key figure/s, the theoretical principle/s and examples of practice and techniques.  I have attached the chart you are to complete here, it will also be in the "files" section under midterm project. This project must be typed—handwritten assignments will not be accepted. Also, your final will be a research paper see instructions below **Final—a minimum of 7 pages (plus cover page and reference page) research paper on one of the three main approaches covered in this class—Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Motivational Interviewing or DBT).  Your paper must incorporate how the approach you choose is applied in Substance Use Disorder Treatment .  Your paper must be APA style and have a minimum of 4 resources.  Instructor will provide grading rubric.  All research papers must be typed.  Handwritten submission will not be accepted.
