 Describe how the motive of belonging contributes to your social change identity. Belonging is a basic human need that has the potential to stimulate changes in identity and social structures. Being part of a group or community can provide individuals with the necessary resources, encouragement, and backing needed to initiate change that lasts. This sense of connectivity carries influence on shaping one's aspirations for their future while driving them forward towards efforts aimed at challenging prevailing social norms regarded as exclusionary and marginalizing forces. Moreover, aspiring towards belongingness may lead people into forming new groups reflecting shared values akin to an emerging set socially grounded identities; directed by their desire for common goals creating positive outcomes within marginalized communities through inclusive measures initiated collectively.  Describe how the motive of understanding contributes to your social change identity. The motive of understanding is a crucial aspect that contributes to my social identity. It drives me to seek knowledge and empathy, allowing me to comprehend the root causes of social issues and the experiences of marginalized communities. By dedicating time to understanding various perspectives and engaging in dialogue with diverse individuals, I can challenge my own biases and preconceived notions. This motivation enables me to advocate for meaningful change by addressing systemic inequalities and promoting inclusivity. Ultimately, understanding serves as a foundation for building bridges between different groups, fostering empathy, and driving collective action towards a more equitable society.  Describe how the motive of controlling contributes to your social change identity. The motive of controlling plays a significant role in shaping my social identity as it reflects my desire for power, authority, and influence within social interactions. The need to control allows me to assert myself confidently, make decisions, and take charge of situations, which in turn helps establish my position and status among peers. This motive also influences how I perceive and engage with others, often leading me to seek leadership roles or positions where I can exert control over the outcome.
