Post-Assessment: Have children demonstrate me what are healthy ways of making friends. Maybe divide them in groups and have them make a skit. Procedures Discuss friendship with the students. Tell them that genuine friendship isn’t easy. To be true friends with someone, you should not only talk, but also listen, be reliable, helpful, trustworthy, etc. Ask students to give more characteristics of a genuine friend and write them down on the board. Tell students that sometimes a person might seem like a friend, but is really a fake friend. Ask the students what do they think a fake friend is. Tell them that a fake friend is someone who is only there when he needs something, doesn’t offer help, disappears when things get hard, etc. Continue the conversation talking about how fake friends are dangerous, because you can get really hurt. Also, mention that sometimes we might not even notice being the fake friend, and that is why it’s important to remember how to always be a good and genuine friend. Next, introduce the activity “QUESTION THE SUSPECTS”. This is an interactive activity. Ask students to participate in turns. In this activity, students need to decide whether a friend is true or fake. Allow 15 minutes for the activity.
