ADHD Case Study 2 In this case study we have Steve here presenting signs of having ADHD. Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) is generally defined as a neurodevelopmental disorder of childhood that impacts academic performance, social interactions and mental well- being. (American Academy of Pediatrics, 2019). Using the biopsychosocial model Steve's case is examined. His symptoms are likely to be caused by a complex combination of biological, psychological, and social factors, and it is important to consider all of these factors when treating him. The biopsychosocial model is a model that incorporates biological, psychological, and social factors to understand how a person experiences illness. It suggests that a person's environment plays an important role in their health outcomes. The model also emphasizes the importance of treating the whole person rather than just the disease. Looking at the first part of the biopsychosocial model, is the biological aspect. When meeting with Steve and his parents some of the questions I would ask is has Steve had any genetic testing done? Is there a family history of ADHD? Does he have any medical conditions that are contributing to his symptoms? Are there any genetic or medical conditions that could be contributing to the symptoms? Using the psychological aspect of the biopsychosocial model some questions that I would ask Steve and his parents are about any history of trauma, stressors, or significant life events. I would also inquire about his coping mechanisms and problem-solving skills. This would allow me to get a sense of his emotional and cognitive development. I would also ask about any environmental factors that may have caused Steve's symptoms. Finally, I would make sure to document all questions and observations. The last part of the biopsychosocial model is the social aspect. When interviewing Steve and his parents I would ask
