Lab Questions ● How does the pattern of your individual data relate to the pattern of results predicted? The predicted results state that memory span should be the highest for digits, slightly lower for letters, and slightly lower than that for words. My results showed that digits and letters were the same in final list length whereas my words was half that in the final length. ● Why are some stimuli easier to remember than others? What trick did you use to perform better in this lab? Digits are slightly easier to remember because we are used to memorizing them more, for example phone numbers and address. A trick I used to perform better in memorizing the digits and letters was to try and make a beat up in my head to remember them, this proved to be more difficult with words because the words had more syllables than just a digit or letter.
