Additionally, the school psychologist can offer professional development training to teachers to help them manage Scott's behavior more effectively. It is important to note that medical doctors, clinical psychologists, and psychiatrists are qualified to diagnose ADHD. Since school psychologists are qualified to provide diagnostic testing, they can help diagnose Scott's potential ADHD, as his behavior is described as "constantly in motion" and "extremely active." The school psychologist can also provide interventions to help manage Scott's inattentive and wandering behavior. If Scott receives services, the school psychologist can also be a valuable member of the IEP team, offering insights to help prepare goals, objectives, and any necessary accommodations or modifications.
