Case Study Report
In 1-2 page(s), write a response that responds appropriately to the requirements and questions for the case study that you have chosen.
CASE STUDY: Ruth, a 28-year old mother of two, has been married for 7 years and, though she has many blessings, consistently struggles with family issues from the past, serious health concerns of her husband, and persistent personal mental health struggles.
She knows the gospel is true and has a testimony of the Savior but sometimes life just gets too hard and overwhelming.
She wonders how she can juggle “life” and incorporate the gospel and all the things she
should
be doing as a mother.
Her “mommy guilt” is always clouding her vision and she struggles to find a balance and peace in life.
In addition, recent “hot topic” doctrinal issues such as the role of women in the Church and Church views on homosexuality, seem to be wearing her down even more.
She questions the testimony she has and many days, is just grateful to be able to physically care for her children and not walk out
onher family.

I have learned that most times when we are feeling lost and trials become very hard, we something want
to give up. But in D&C section 29 vs 4 - 6 "Verily, I say unto you that ye are chosen out of the world to declare my gospel with the sound of rejoicing, as with the voice of a trump. 5 Lift up your hearts and be glad, for I am in your midst, and am your advocate with the Father; and it is his goodwill to give you the
kingdom. 6 And, as it is written—Whatsoever ye shall ask in faith, being united in prayer according to my command, ye shall receive." This passage of scripture shows that in good time and bad time Heavenly Father and our Savior Jesus Christ are in our mists. Barbara Thompson Second Counselor in the Relief Society General Presidency shared a quote that can help strengthen ourselves when we feel like we are lost, it said, "The greatest help we will have in strengthening families is to know and follow the doctrines of Christ." Because we know the Gospel is true, we can find the strength in that truth and in Christ Gospel.

There are many talks, scriptures, and websites that
can help. But I love a quote from The Family: A Proclamation to the World it said, "Encourage couples and families to live the gospel in the home. They should establish patterns of kindness, respect, and open communication so that all family members are comfortable discussing sensitive matters. Sister Carol B. Thomas
