Have you ever wondered why God created us? And what is our purpose? Creation is not some random event, like many may believe when one stares up into the vastness of the universe, which hasn’t harbored any sign of life as we know of today. Scripture gives us a definite timeline
for the beginning and completion of the universe by God. The first two chapters of Genesis present God as the Creator of creation. Here The Book of John 1: 1-18 sets the stage for the presentation of the Gospel by highlighting the main plotline and central themes of the entire Bible. God created the Heavens, Earth, and every form of life in those first two chapters of Genesis. We know God speaks things into existence, and everything the Creator created is good. But God created only one thing in His Image humanity. “Even though the beginning of Genesis describes the creation of the universe, there are other aspects of creation as well.” The creation of the Covenant establishes a relationship between God and his people in the Old Testament, Israel, New Testament the church today. God will create a nation thru Abraham, and that nation will be called God’s people. And God will make himself known to the world by the way (through a people) that will live according to the standards that God has called them to live by. We learned that everything that was made and is made was by God our Creator. We can reflect and observe how beautiful our lives are on God’s precious Earth. The air we breathe, the food we eat, and the water we consume daily are Blessings God gives us throughout the day. Remember that Jesus sacrificed his life so that we might live life and life abundantly. We must give Honor and Glory to the one who deserves the Honor and Glory our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.
If you are looking for the significance of Covenants, search no further, covenants are essential because they show us what God requires in a relationship and what God promises to be in his relationship. And that God is 100% consistent even when people are inconsistence and
disobedient to Him. Since the beginning, God has made Covenants with humanity, and the first started in the Garden of Eden with the Adamic covenant. The most recognized Abrahamic covenant and the New Covenant Realized in Luke 22: 20. There are more throughout the Bible; I
just wanted to mention a few. Creation and Covenants are significant components in God’s grand
scheme and solution for humanity. These covenants reassure us that God is in control.
Nothing is impossible for the Lord thy God. Blessings that generate from God’s covenants are mind-blowing and humbling. He made way for his people. We must act accordingly to the Greatness of YHWH and know that God is faithful. And his mercies endure forever. Covenants are essential to God’s redemptive plan to restore humanity to its divine calling. Jesus is to tell the whole story of God’s covenant relationship with humans. Covenants define obligations and commitments, but they differ from a contract because they are relational and personal. YHWH calls his people to be Holy so that they might reflect him in the covenant. This means that they will be different, distinct, and unique. They will have a purpose given by God. God preserved the world through Noah, initiated redemption through Abraham, established the nation of Israel through Moses, promised an eternal Shepherd-King through David, and then fulfilled all his covenants through Jesus. Jesus perfectly succeeded at every point where humanity failed. He mediates the new and better covenant (Heb. 7: 22, 9: 15). In the new covenant, we receive the forgiveness of sins and God’s empowering Spirit to help us live lives full of self-giving Love. Because of Jesus, we can live righteously and partner with him as he renews the world. We owe everything to Jesus Christ, our Lord. Spiritual blessings to all people were fulfilled in the coming of Jesus, the Messiah, a descendant of Abraham through whom people of all nationalities may receive salvation. God promised that the serpent would be crushed
by one of Eve’s descendants. People descendants of Abraham would be the bearers of hope for
