. Pretend like you are explaining ordinances to a friend. How might you use this scripture to explain the importance of ordinances in the gospel of Jesus Christ?
In Doctrine and Covenants 84:20, it emphasizes that ordinances are vital because they allow us to receive God's power and blessings. Just as we follow certain procedures in our daily lives to achieve specific results, ordinances are like divine procedures that connect us to God's grace and guidance. They are essential steps in our spiritual journey, enabling us to access the blessings and promises of the gospel, much like following a recipe to create a delicious meal.

Every woman and every man who makes covenants with God and keeps those covenants, and who participates worthily in priesthood ordinances, has direct access to the power of God (see Doctrine and Covenants 128:11
). Those who are endowed in the house of the Lord receive a gift of God’s priesthood
power by virtue of their covenant, along with a gift of knowledge to know how to draw upon that power...you will find yourselves better able to help create eternal families that are united, sealed in the temple of the Lord, and full of love for our Heavenly Father and for Jesus Christ.

What did you do this week to spend time on the personal family history goal that you set and committed

My personal family history goal for this week was to continue researching my maternal grandmother's side of the family and document any new information I could find.
I started by searching for records related to my maternal grandmother's parents and grandparents. I discovered census records, birth certificates, and marriage records that provided valuable information about their lives and family connections. These records helped me fill in missing details and add more names to the family tree.
Additionally, I reached out to a distant relative on my grandmother's side who had shared an interest in family history. We had a productive conversation, exchanged information, and agreed to collaborate
on our research efforts. This connection opened up new avenues for exploring our shared ancestry.

I chose the concept of "The Wise Choice Process" to share with my family this week. During a 20-
minute discussion, I explained the steps involved in this process, emphasizing the importance of making responsible decisions and evaluating the likely outcomes of our choices.
What I learned from teaching this concept is that it reinforced my understanding of the Wise Choice Process. Explaining it to others allowed me to articulate the steps clearly and answer questions that arose during the discussion. Teaching also highlighted the practicality of this process in everyday life situations.
