If the passage is long, just cite it and abbreviate or summarize it so the reader knows what the passage is about but it doesn’t take up too many lines on this report. Note - boxes will expand as you type Describe your experience: Provide a thoughtful reflection of your experience. What gospel principle from this week’s lesson did you teach? Include specific quotes or references to scripture or prophetic teachings that you used. How did it go? How did you feel while teaching and afterward? What reaction or feedback did you receive? What teaching methods did you use (thought-provoking question, discussion, game, object lesson, video, other method)? I taught a lesson on the gospel truth of the divine birth of the Savior, Jesus Christ, and its significance in our faith. I focused on the scriptural references that highlight the miraculous nature of Christ's birth, including the verses in the Book of Mormon and the New Testament that emphasize His divine origins. The lesson went well, and I felt a profound sense of awe and gratitude while teaching about the Savior's divine birth. The students engaged in meaningful discussion, sharing their own perspectives and experiences related to this truth. I used a combination of discussion and video resources to illustrate the significance of Christ's divine birth. We watched a short video that depicted the nativity scene, and then we discussed how His birth changed the world and how it has impacted our lives individually. This method helped make the lesson more interactive and thought-provoking. The feedback I received from the students was positive. She appreciated the opportunity to delve into this fundamental gospel truth and connect it to her own testimony. It was a spiritually enriching experience for us both. Describe the insights you gained: What did you learn from this experience about being a teacher of the gospel? What deeper insights or understanding of the principle(s) being taught did you gain from teaching the principle(s) to another person? Teaching the gospel principle of the divine birth of Jesus Christ offered valuable insights into the role of a gospel teacher. Thorough preparation, a deep understanding of the principle, and tailoring the lesson to the audience's needs are essential. This experience also highlighted the reciprocal nature of teaching, as it deepened my personal appreciation for Christ's role in my life and spiritual growth. Using interactive teaching methods, such as discussion and multimedia resources, engaged the students and encouraged them to share their testimonies and insights. The positive feedback from the students underscored the impact of teaching the gospel. It not only imparts
knowledge but also strengthens one's own understanding of the principles being taught. It was a spiritually fulfilling experience that reinforced the importance of being a prepared, adaptable, and engaging teacher of the gospel. Ultimately, teaching the gospel is a two-way journey, benefiting both the teacher and the students in their spiritual growth and understanding of divine principles.
