Biblical Stewardship
Biblical stewardship concepts can be applied everyday in our lives because we are the
stewards of the earth. Genesis 1:26-28 talks about God wanting us to be fruitful and multiply.
God always wanted us to have dominion over all living creatures. Essentially God place humans
in charge of the earth and he wanted us to take care of it. As stewards of the earth, we should be
mindful of our use of natural resources and how our energy footprint can affect them. This is
something we should look considering the war in Ukraine and the rising gas prices. As stewards
of the earth, we should be looking for other alternatives to fuel our vehicles. So that we don’t
deplete our oil resources or possibly switch over to electric powered vehicles. We can be true
stewards of the earth by raising families , supporting the community , and by serving God in
everything that we do. This can also be achieved by reducing our carbon footprint and recycling
to save materials and resources. ( Bradley, 2020)
When it comes to the business world stewardship can be applied by companies using
resources strategically. This means that they should be aware of their carbon footprint.
Companies should try to find methods in the manufacturing process to produce goods. That can
be made with renewal energy sources or by
a process that require minimal energy. It was also
smart to produce products that are eco friendly
. So, we can eliminate any harmful effects to the
environment. I agree with the biblical stewardship concepts listed above. I believe that we can be
good stewards in all aspects of our lives whether that be a home or in the workplace. God gifted
us this beautiful earth to take care of and live on. It is our responsibility as Christians to make
sure fulfilling his wishes according to his will for humankind. Also, we need to serve God in
everything that we do in our daily lives . So That we
can make sure we are living as Christ like
as possible. (Hartman, 2022)
