Please use this section of the report to summarize your notes and reflect what you learned (250 words):
This event topic was on whether or not we can trust the bible, more specifically dealing with non-believers who are grappling with this question. We can do this by checking external records, historical records, and by checking claims that have been made. One example was the walls of Jericho falling outwards which was first stated in the bible and then fact checked by professional archaeologists. People from the bible were also found in other historical records such as Tacticus and Pontius Pilate. Eyewitness testimony such as Luke writing about what Mary herself had witnessed as a primary source to the resurrection of Jesus. There are historical things that we collectively agree happened as a society such as the holocaust but everyone agrees that it did occur because of eyewitness testimonies and the records of it happening. Why is Christianity any different? Name occurrences from inscriptions during the time of Jesus Christ and the New Testament were compared side by side over forty percent of the names were the same or were some variations of each other to differentiate the differences in the people form the bible who had the same of similar names so that the reader is able to distinguish between the people. Despite the four gospels being written in different places yet were able to be extremely accurate in the names used in the New Testament. By personally fact checking the bible, checking sources, questioning the motives of the writers, and eyewitness claims we can conclude that the bible is true and that it is a reliable source.

Please use this section of the report to write one take-away or action as it relates to ministry or your ministry leadership: (This should be specific and measurable)
Our explanation of our faith and personal testimonies will not always be enough of a reason for nonbelievers to turn to Christianity. We must be able to provide specific and measurable proof of the gospel such as Orr-Ewing’s name comparisons and personal eyewitness testimonies.
