1 Christian Core Beliefs Miracle Cox Colorado Christian University PHL-205A - World Views Jeff Robinson 09/17/2023
2 Christian Core Beliefs When it comes to core Christian beliefs, there can be very different answers. You will get different answers depending on whether you discuss this topic with an older generation of Christians or a newer generation of Christians. But the question is not what people believe, but what the Bible says as a foundation for being a Christian. Christian faith is knowledge of truth, not what we think is right. Christianity is monotheistic religion that believes in the one and true and living God. Also, the core essential is the teachings of the word of the lord and the life and miracles and return of Jesus Christ For starter you must believe in Jesus Christ as your lord and personal saver, Jesus is the main religious figure in Christianity. According to Myers and Nobel “The Christian worldview is based squarely on the person of Jesus Christ," Myers and Nobel (2015). Christians believe the God is light and has the power of all things on earth, with beliefs that the way to eternal life in paradise is you follow the roadmap to heaven which is the bible. In philosophical terms, he's the necessary condition for everything else" (Myers & Nobel, p. 29) Before Jesus was born, he was mentioned several times in the Old Testament about being the eternal savior from sin. According to Scripture Isaiah 9:6-7 states “For to us a child is born, to us a son is given, and the government will be on his shoulders. And he will be called Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace. Of the greatness of his government and peace there will be no end. He will reign on David’s throne and over his kingdom, establishing and upholding it with justice and righteousness from that time on and forever. The zeal of the LORD Almighty will accomplish this” (Holy Bible, New International Version, 1973/2018).
3 Also, Christians essentially believe of Jesus returning to earth and collect the ones that believed in him and send them to heaven which is the final home for Christians the book revelations reveal what believers have in store. The book of revelation explains a lot about what’s going to happen when Christ returns for the believers. Revelations 21:1-5 states “Then I saw “a new heaven and a new earth,” for the first heaven and the first earth had passed away, and there was no longer any sea. I saw the Holy City, the new Jerusalem, coming down out of heaven from God, prepared as a bride beautifully dressed for her husband. And I heard a loud voice from the throne saying, “Look! God’s dwelling place is now among the people, and he will dwell with them. They will be his people, and God himself will be with them and be their God. ‘He will wipe every tear from their eyes. There will be no more death’ or mourning or crying or pain, for the old order of things has passed away.” He who was seated on the throne said, “I am making everything new!” Then he said, “Write this down, for these words are trustworthy and true” (Holy Bible, New International Version, 1973/2018). The belief a Person, Organization, or a church must uphold in order to be right in the lord. God is omnipotent because The Bible is the primary source for Christians to know and learn God's Word through its teachings. These teachings and beliefs are a collection of his books divided into two parts, written and maintained by people who spoke directly to or through God. Is that Jesus is the savior and salvation for all of us to be freed from sin. Even though Many people and organizations would argue that the scriptures of were created by the people who wrote them because they are personal accounts of what happened during that time. Which is semi true because according to scripture 1 Peter 1:20-21" Above all, you must understand that no prophecy of Scripture came about by the prophet's own interpretation of things. For prophecy
