Option 5
• After reading 2 Nephi 28, what false doctrines and teachings of Satan are you now more
aware of?
After reading this chapter I have a better understanding of how important it is to be aware of
the dangers false doctrines have during our modern day. I know from experiences and
observations I have made during this last year or so, false doctrines could mean more than just
religious concepts, a lot of our everyday life outside of church has a huge influence on our
spiritual attitudes. I have found that having a firm understanding of what we teach as
Latter-day saints leave a certain impression that softens the heart and appeals more without the
indoctrination or lies people often use to influence others to Come unto Christ. When I feel the
weight of the world and its impurities, I often take a step back and ask myself, “where do I
stand?” or “Is this what I should be doing/listening to?”
• How has additional scripture increased your knowledge of the doctrines of the restored
gospel?
It has helped me have a better focus of what is really important in my life. I have found that
through reading the Book of Mormon or additional scripture has helped me through the times
that are tough and have left in me a spiritual funk.
• In what ways does the Book of Mormon testify that the Lord is God over the whole earth?
The Book of Mormon testifies of the Savior and how He is God over the world through the
apostles and prophets sharing their knowledge of the power the Lord held in their presence.
The Savior didn’t impress the men that wanted to know more about His teaching, He left an
impression of what life would be like with His knowledge and influence.
