Ancient Science / Mythology: Denis Lamoureux, Peter Enns
The view proposes that the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit (God) created the
universe. This view of origin embraces both religious belief and scientific
theories. This origin also states that life was created through evolution,
reflecting natural process. Meaning that our creation was not a mistake and
human life evolved through human ancestors. I find this view, so far, very
interesting and it aligns with my beliefs. I always took the words of the
Bible as is and not try to lean on my own understanding and add words to it
as the book of Proverbs states. Throughout my time on this earth, I have
come across many people who have believed in the Big Bang theory. It is
even taught in school, and it never aligned with biblical principles. God is
“Alpha and Omega” (Revelation 1:8 KJV). He isn’t bound by time but rather
is the constructor of it, so why limit his abilities? “But, beloved, be not
ignorant of this one thing, that one day is with the Lord as a thousand years,
and a thousand years as one day” (2 Peter 3:8 KJV). So, if we had to put a
time frame on Genesis 1, why not go off of what the Bible is telling us?
