For this course, I am looking forward to learning more in-depth about the Old Testament specifically. I
previously took Exploring the New Testament last semester, and before the class, I thought I had a pretty
good understanding of the books and what they consisted of in terms of the stories and their themes.
However, the class was helpful in applying the scripture to my life explicitly and showing how each book
relates and connects to depict God’s will and reasoning. Conversely, I am aware that I am not as
knowledgeable of all the books in the Old Testament, so I believe there is an abundance of information
that I will be taught for this class, and I look forward to finishing with a better understanding of the
themes and the big picture of the gospels. I did have reservations originally taking the first class about
the New Testament as I have not read the Bible in its entirety to this point but was very comfortable
completing the assigned readings and work for that class, so I believe I will enjoy and do well in this class
