Written reflection
I chose Micah.
What, Who, When, Where, and Why?
The prophet Micah lived during the reigns of Jotham, Ahaz, and Hezekiah, who were kings of Judah between 750 and 686 BC. The people of Israel and Judah were present throughout his time. Micah prophesied about the corruption that would take place in both Israel and Judah due to idolatry, materialism, and injustice. He criticized their wrongdoings, including their economic and social tyranny, and urged them to repent and return to God's rules. Micah discussed the possibility of restoration, as well as God's wrath.

What is the Book's purpose?
The book of Micah calls for repentance and faithfulness, reminding people of God's justice and mercy. Micah also prophesized the arrival of the Messiah and the establishment of God's heavenly kingdom.
What was the main message of the Prophet
?
The main message of the prophet Micah was to urge the people to repent of their sins and come back to the Lord. He assured them that they would be restored and given hope if they did so. However, he also warned them that if they did not turn back, they would face God's judgment in the future.
What did this Prophet teach you?
I learned through Micah that God is both just and merciful. He remains faithful to His people even when they are disobedient to Him. Additionally, I discovered that the ultimate hope and promise of God for His people is the arrival of the Messiah. Therefore, they should always strive to act justly and show mercy towards others.
What message of this prophet still holds true today?
The teachings of Micah are still applicable today. We are expected to turn away from our sins, be
obedient, work for justice and mercy, and eagerly await the return of the Messiah. We should place our faith in God and His promises because they are still truthful and offer restoration and hope.
