Sabrina Goodridge OL 301 2-1 Assignment January 16, 2024 Sociodemographic and Temporal Analysis 1. Spatial Analysis: Burglary Cases From the gathered data analysis, I can see that there are more crimes taking place on E Bay St with a total of 23 burglaries in the area even though they are spread out on the crime hot spot map it shows that street is a hot spot area and is close to highway 17. The second highest crime is taking place on King St with a total of 5 burglaries which also crosses I26 and highway 17. It is easy access into King St. and out of King St. Lockwood Dr/Fishburne St, Huger St, Huger St/I26, Coming St, and Calhoun St/King St all have 4 burglaries on those streets which still gives the person easy access to either highway 17 or I26 through the use of different routes to get there. The streets that have only 3 burglaries on them are Allway St/ Flood St, Coming St/Calhoun St, Lowndes Point Dr, Meeting St/John St, and Meeting St Rd. The streets with 2 burglaries are N Romney St, Meeting St/Stuart St, Meeting St, Line St/Nassau St, King St/Maverick St, King St/Burns Ln, Johnathan Lucas St/Daughty St, Hampden Ct/America St, Fishburne St/Killians St, Chisolm St/Tradd St, Calhoun St/Ashley Ave, Beaufain St, Ashe St/Bogard St, America St/Grace Bridge St, and Allway St all give access to either I26, Highway 17 or even the James Island Expy W 30 highway. The rest of the streets only had 1
burglaries on them I think that is because they have either gotten caught there or there were cameras or people watching the areas. 2. Distribution and measures of central tendency for burglary cases The red dot on the Burglary Hotspot map is centered between King St/Metting St Rd and the corner of Cunnington St. The red hotspots should be along the E Bay St area because there was a total of 23 burglaries in the area even though it was spread down this street area. King St is another hotspot area because it has easy access onto the street from I26, highway 78, and Highway 17. 3. Temporal Analysis-months:
