Assignment 3: – Descriptive Analyses Based on the data file “DanoPizza_assign3.xlsx” and survey questionnaire “DanoPizza_survey.pdf”, please respond to the following questions for each of the variables: 1. Look at the data file and the survey file, and then identify how the following variables have been coded. For each of these variables you are supposed to provide the numerical representation (or textual representation) of each of the response categories where applicable. (25 Points) Edu: high school degree or below appears as A, college degree appears as B, master degree or above appears as C. Pizza_Freq : Very frequently appears as 1, infrequently appears as 2, somewhat infrequently appears as 3, neutral appears as 4, somewhat frequently appears as 5, frequently appears as 6, and very frequently appears as 7. Age : The number that appears is that age number that people are. satis_food : Extremely unsatisfied appears as 1, unsatisfied appears as 2, somewhat unsatisfied appears as 3, neutral appears as 4, somewhat satisfied appears as 5, satisfied appears as 6, and extremely satisfied appears as 7. Gender : Male appears as A or M, female appears as B or F. Income : The number that appears is the amount of income people have. LikeRecom: Extremely unlikely appears as 1, unlikely appears as 2, somewhat unlikely appears as 3, neutral appears as 4, somewhat likely appears as 5, likely appears as 6, very likely appears as 7. 2. Using NOIR classification, identify and note data type for each of the following variables. Please circle one of the options provided against each of the variables below. (25 Points) Edu: A. Nominal B. Ordinal C. Interval D. Ratio Pizza_Freq : A. Nominal B. Ordinal C. Interval D. Ratio Age : A. Nominal B. Ordinal C. Interval D. Ratio satis_food : A. Nominal B. Ordinal C. Interval D. Ratio Gender : A. Nominal B. Ordinal C. Interval D. Ratio
Income : A. Nominal B. Ordinal C. Interval D. Ratio LikeRecom: A. Nominal B. Ordinal C. Interval D. Ratio 3. Please provide the most suitable descriptive analyses (measures of central tendency and dispersion) one could use for the variables mentioned in the table below. (Remember that the type of descriptive analyses depends on data type – so refer to your responses to question 2 above to answer this question).
