Running head: LOOKING AHEAD 1 Lymarie Coriano-Gonzalez Master of Science in Education, Walden University EDUC 6616 Enhance Learn for Diverse Population Dr. Amy Summer December 17 th , 2023.
LOOKING AHEAD 2 Journal Reflection Since every child is different, education should highlight and support each one's special talents and qualities (Sullivan-Sego et al., 2016, p.134). My solution to the case scenario is supported since I was able to draw direct parallels with cases after reading the case studies in the course book. Example 8.2: The case scenario and insufficient adjustments are directly related because Justin, a learner, needs crutches due to his cerebral palsy (Gorski & Pothini, 2018). Justin was scheduled to embark on a hiking expedition that would provide lodging. Every morning when I welcomed him at the door, I had to offer him my chair so he could sit down. In order to give him a sense of community in the classroom, I made it inclusive. By using a variety of tactics, the teacher in the hypothetical situation can make sure she acts in the best interests of each and every kid. She is capable of offering materials and assignments that are differentiated to fit the various needs of each student, including Elle and Elijah. This will
