Session 2: Article Review The purpose of this paper is to describe the measures of central tendency used in the article "Pilot Study of Embedded IMU Sensors and Machine Learning Algorithms for Automated Ice Hockey Stick Fitting," based on the data presented in the article. The main point of the article is to test the different materials that hockey sticks are made of and see how they affect the players ability to make consistent shots on goal. The first set of data in the article describes the physical attributes of the participants of the study. Using the mean of the ten participants and the standard deviation the table is used to show how similar the participants are. The Second table showing a central tendency is the results of the tests of each stick and how they performed over several shots by the players.
