I backed out the STO adjusted it to the original incorrect quantity in ME22N. I Kept the 502 movement for 60cs of p/c 35983 referencing the STO , and I just added a 501 movement increasing p/c 35810 60cs. The quantities have been adjusted for this STO using 501/502 movements to accurately show what has been shipped in SAP. When a situation like this happens, what movement does the plant do to show these overages/shortages ,and how would it be known to be made if not informed via email by warehouse/audit?

I believe that the dilemma is simple: a student challenges the school official authority. I said simple because not for the dilemma’s complexity rather for the regularity with which a young behave in a rebellious manner.
We began our analysis by searching for bottlenecks that existed in the current system. It was easily identified that major issues existed in the ordering process. Without calculations, you could tell the reorder point was too low since the historical plots showed inventory levels at zero for two or more days at a time. The number of jobs in customer orders showed correlating spikes at the same time of the inventory outages. We reviewed the utilization and queues of the other stations in the system but were hesitant to make in immediate changes since we were not entirely certain the effects of correcting the inventory policy.

The actions I took in attempts to reduce or better yet, eliminate the issue of overabundant product inventory, included making my shipments larger so that stores where there was low inventory product could retain a normal or slightly more of the product to reduce risk of shortage. Due to making my shipments larger I added an additional truck to assist in getting the product inventory from the warehouse to the stores.

Based on the calculations provided in question 2 of the appendix, managers at Northcutt will need to set the reorder point for part FB378 at 118 units and 296 units for part GS131 for the

Inventory Management- The entire supermarket must be working closely on inventory management so the perfect amount of inventory is always on hand. As I mentioned before, too little of a product results in loss of sales and unhappy customers, but too much is a waste of resources.
This then translates to a 50% chance of not having inventory available during job opportunities. Therefore, opportunity costs might occur. The indifference of the production managers' in these aspects of inventory control is alarming and should be acted upon.
