A) A guitar pickup consists of a permanent magnet (usually with a material core such as ceramic or alnico) which is wrapped by a tight copper coil of many turns (several thousands). The pickups are mounted onto the body of the guitar below the strings which make contact.
B) Pickups convert the mechanical energy of the vibrating strings into electrical energy through electromagnetic induction. The permanent magnet of the pickup creates a steady magnetic field that changes as the strings vibrate. The coil wrapped within the magnetic field is induced with a current and voltage as said magnetic field alternates due to the vibrating strings. The output is an alternating current since the voltage alternates between positive and energy as the

A cathode tube contains billions of electrons that are held in place and only released when the electrical signal from the guitar flows through the tube. The released electrons flow freely to the positive terminal (anode) in huge but controlled bursts. The tiny voltages that come from the guitar release a fierce storm of electrons inside the amplifier, which increases the electrical signal that comes through it.
F) A common speaker consists of a frame where a permanent magnet and an electromagnet are held in place. Both are positioned so that the electromagnet is directly above the permanent magnet. Above the electromagnet is attached a diaphragm which creates the sound waves as it vibrates. The alternating electric current that comes from the amplifier flows through the electromagnet which naturally causes its polar orientation to switch accordingly with the current. The permanent magnet that is below has a fixed polar orientation, so the electromagnetic will find it being constantly attracted and repelled in respect to its own alternation in polar orientation. Since the diaphragm is attached to the electromagnet, it will move up and down as well. This vibration of the diaphragm creates sound waves.
Question #2
A)
An electrical generator consists of coils of wire tightly wound onto a metal core (Armature). The coils are adhered to a shaft that can rotate freely and is positioned inside a permanent magnet. The shaft is rotated at very high
The current has a positive charge in one side of the coil and it transforms to negative when it gets to the other side of the coil. This charge controls the magnetic field, making the like charges repeal and the opposite charges attract.
The headpiece sends the signal through the skin and to the implant to pick up. Than the implant picks up the sound and sends it through the lead and to the electrode array. Finally, the sound is picked up by the hearing nerve and the message is sent to the brain.
In fig. 4, the AC signal from the coil is passed through a Cockroft Walton (CW) voltage multiplier. A CW multiplier generates a high DC voltage from a low voltage AC. Hence, it can rectify the received AC voltage, as well as, step up the relatively low voltage. This is a classic multistage diode/capacitor voltage multiplier, which is economically efficient at the same time. The stages can be increased or decreased with ease to get desired output. The final voltage output of the stages, where N is the number of stages –
Heffernan also illustrates how headphones work, stating, “when an audio current passes through the device’s voice coil, it creates an alternating magnetic field that moves a stiff, light diaphragm” (Heffernan, 2011). Describing the history of headphones and how the technology works portrays Heffernan as a reasonable author with a deep understanding of her subject matter, which earns the trust and respect of the audience.
It is really big giant system. A Tesla coil is an electrical resonant transformer circuit is used to produce high frequency alternating-current electricity. Tesla experimented with a number of different configurations consisting of two, or sometimes three, coupled resonant electric circuits..
They are electromagnetic device but opposite to each others . Electrical motor convert electrical energy into mechanical energy and generator convert mechanical energy in electrical
When the wind is blowing on wind turbines it produces electric power, Fans are old techniques used in the mills and then the water pump, but now it has developed the technology and has become used for electric power production.
However, perhaps the most phenomenal feature of the cochlear implant is how the device is powered. Due to there being no wires attached to the receiver from the other side of the skull, a method known as magnetic induction is used. Magnetic induction occurs when a circuit with an alternating current flowing through it generates current in another circuit simply by being placed within close proximity of it. Using a magnet that is surrounded by a coil allows for the magnetic field of the magnet to be induced in the wire of the
Sounds and speech are captured by a microphone and sent to the external speech processor. The processor then translates the sounds into electrical signals, which are then sent to the transmitting coil. These codes travel up a cable to the headpiece and are transmitted across the skin through radio waves to the implanted cochlea electrodes. The electrodes’ signals then stimulate the auditory nerve fibres to send information to the brain where it is interpreted as meaningful sound.
1. What is the device that allows AC to pass through an amplifier circuit while blocking DC?
The electrical current is applied by electrodes (small discs) that are secured to the head. The discs can vary but may look like a paddle or large spoon. They may be held in place with a band or a cap. There are different ways that the electrical current can be applied. During tES, you may be seated in a chair and the disc is placed firmly but comfortably against your head. The electrodes are connected by wires to a box that as same size as a cell phone. You will know when the disc is turned on as it will make a clicking noise,
Tesla originally experimented with induction coils, similar to those found in ignition coils in internal combustion engines. He decided to power this setup with a high speed alternator he was developing. However, the high frequency melted the iron core and the insulation between the primary and secondary windings of the coil. To solve the problem, Tesla removed the insulation and replaced it with an air gap. He also designed the setup so that the iron core could be moved. Additionally, he discovered that he needed to place the capacitor between the alternator and primary windings to avoid burning out the coil. Adjusting the coil and capacitor allowed Tesla to use resonance to attain higher frequencies.
The Guitar is a stringed musical instrument with six or twelve strings that is played by either plucking or strumming the strings. It is one of the most popular instruments in the world. If an individual were asked to identify a guitar most people would answer the question correctly more so than they would if they were asked about another instrument. When people think about famous guitarists, they more than likely think of famous rock and roll guitarists and do not think about the many other famous guitarists in other musical genres such as jazz or country. The guitar is a well-known instrument that influences many musical genres including Country.
Electric guitar pick-ups work by employing "principles of magnetic induction." The pick-ups are composed of small electromagnets (magnets that are wrapped with a coil of wire, thus allowing an electric current to flow through them). Because of their close proximity to the strings, these magnets induce a north and south pole on the strings. When the string is played, it begins to oscillate, or move in a wave-like fashion. This affects the field surrounding the pick-up and causes a change in the magnetic field. These changes, or fluctuations in the magnetic field are transmitted through the wires connecting the pick-up(s) to the output jack and are thus relayed to the amplifier where they are sent to the speaker and converted from electrical energy once again into motion energy (sound).
