Tesla Automobile Battery
Introduction
Our idea for this research project was to investigate, in-depth, the characteristics behind the design, performance, and maintenance of the Tesla Motors automobile battery. In opposition to the Tesla Powerwall battery, and the SpaceX Hyperloop concept, also presented by Elon Musk, the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of both Tesla Motors and SpaceX, as well as chairman of Solar City, our analysis of the Tesla Motors automobile battery is completely limited to the scope of the automobile – in particular, the Tesla Roadster, and Tesla Model S. Although Tesla Motors just recently came out with the Model X sport-utility-vehicle (SUV), and has a more economical Model 3 concept in the works, to be delivered two-three years from present day, most of the publicly available data was in relation to the Roadster and Model S vehicles, hence our limitation to this scope. In particular, for the design of the battery, we chose to investigate the construction of the battery cells, battery module, and battery safety. In regards to the performance enabled by this battery, we investigated the different battery packages available, in terms of energy capacity, and compared their performance to a gasoline-powered car through the quantity of MPGe – mile per gallon equivalent. Last, we delve into the maintenance and owner operation of the Tesla Motors automobile battery – comparing the
the tesla electric car is an innovative and revolutionary new technical experience and now it's getting even better with the autopilot option pushing the bounds you once knew of how a car is supposed to drive.
Kirsch’s main argument in the article is that there are no better storage batteries for the electric vehicle despite smaller technological changes or improvements that have relatively enhanced the capability of these vehicles. The expectations for better storage batteries were not realized though the electric vehicle was
Tesla electric cars first appeared as small, sporty two-seaters. On March 26, 2009, the Tesla Model S was released and marketed as the top-performing all-electric luxury SUV in its class. Considering the Model S’s impressive performance capacities, they make a sound argument. David Ener, writer for Canada’s “The Globe and Mail” newspaper describes his experience of driving the Model S
Lithium-ion batteries are becoming more common in portable electronic devices due to their high-energy density, lack of memory effect, and high charge and discharge rate capabilities. Research and development work is ongoing to improve safety and increase capacity, charge/discharge rate, and lifetime. Demand for electric vehicle batteries is currently small, but it is expected to grow very quickly. China, Japan, South Korea, France, and the United States are the major lithium-ion battery manufacturers for hybrid and electric vehicle applications.
From Tesla’s gigafactory for batteries to new battery technologies every day, this field is ever expanding with inventions and opportunities. Batteries seem like one of the most important paths to the future and I would love to be on the cutting edge of energy
Through all of this information, Tesla and traditional gas powered car owners have learned more about the Tesla and how it is not as environmentally friendly as society may portray it to be. Hopefully the readers of this paper learn that you must be educated before they buy a certain product.
Tesla is a world-famous luxurious car brand which is known for its electric vehicles and energy. The founder of Tesla is Martin Eberhard and the co-founders are Elon Musk, Marc Tarpenning, and Ian Wright, and it is founded on July 1, 2003 as Tesla Motors. Furthermore, the main industries of Tesla are automotive and energy storage. Nowadays, Tesla has their three types of cars that are noticed by the car freaks word-widely. The first one is Model S, known as the safest. The reason why it is, because the performance has been redefined to the “Tesla’s all-electric powertrain” (Tesla). What’s more is that it can be accelerated from 0 to 60 mph. The main concept of Model S is to be the safest type. However, another type of Tesla is the Model X.
Electrical vehicles technology has been present for a while and is a proven technology that need only reshaping to meet the global need. Though, in the past, the technology had failed to compete with the internal combustion engine due to initial cost, the technology has done well in the past few years. Electric vehicle ability to reduce the emission of greenhouse gases like carbon and carbon dioxide and the advantages it enjoys such as low maintenance and running cost can enhance it market competitiveness. However, as experts try to make its charging system more efficient and its ability to store charge more long lasting, the global need continue to rise. The research proposal, therefore, aim at addressing an issue like government involvement can enhance improved use of EV, development of better EV batteries, energy management system and fast charging can help enhance the use of Electrical Vehicles and how electric vehicle drive train and the battery can be redesigned to make it affordable.
Electric cars are becoming very popular in today’s world and are becoming more main stream. One reason for this is the need for automobiles that have a lower or a zero carbon footprint. For the majority of the history of the automobile, the propulsion system was a gas or a diesel engine that would run off of fossil fuels. The burning of fossil fuels is very hazardous to our world and also creates much toxic pollution. However, electric cars run off of electricity, which is a very clean and pollution free resource, depending on how the electricity was produced of course. In this paper we are going to examine the history of electric cars, look into modern electric car technology, and peer into the future of electric car technology to see if EVs might be the answer to dramatically reducing our global pollution.
Tesla CEO Elon Musk, announcement that Tesla Motors will enter the energy-storage market by introducing a home battery, and is known as Tesla's Powerwall. The home battery charges by using electricity generated form solar panels and reduce energy costs.
Tesla Motors Incorporated, an American company that designs, produces, and sells electric vehicles and their electric components, has become one of the fastest growing car companies in recent history. The company’s main goal was to start creating electric vehicles that were accessible and affordable to the public. Founded in 2003 and taking off successfully by 2009, Tesla Motors started selling the first mass-produced vehicle to use lithium-ion battery cells and hold a range of greater than 200 miles on just one charge. Along with building their own electric vehicle models, Tesla also builds electric powertrain components for vehicles from other automakers including cars such as the Toyota RAV4 electric vehicle. Tesla has begun to maximize
