AC 3.2: My Personal Development Plan for next year:
The following chart shows my personal development plan for next year. In the skills and attributes, the skills which are already present or not present are listed down. In the next two columns, the status of these skills is represented which depicts whether these skills are present, needs to be improved or to be learned. In these columns, the status has been written and the score from 1 to 4 is given to these skills depicting the level of particular skill and its relative importance in the next year. In this manner, the score represents what is the degree of the skill present in me and how much efforts is required in order to improve this skill.

A career in social work or human services is similar in the duties and type of work environment. Both of these positions require a desire to help others in many ways. Human Services Assistants may help clients with special needs obtain the services that will help them to develop and improve their situation. Social workers are considered human services workers, only they typically perform more hands-on duties with clients (BLS, 2012a). A career in social and human services is a rewarding choice for those who have a strong desire to help others in need and who have a strong sense of community.
In order to prioritise goals and targets for my own professional development, I look at the influences that have helped me to develop my performance so far and look at what my training has taught me and how it’s reflected in my work. I examine my strengths and weaknesses honestly and try to think about the way I practice in a constructive way. I have to evaluate myself by asking;
The purpose of this unit is to assess the learner’s knowledge, understanding and skills required to promote the professional duty to maintain the currency of knowledge and skills and the need to continually reflect on and improve practice.
There is a crucial need for Nurse Practitioners, especially in an area of shortage such as in the state of Missouri. The trending search for NP’s is at an all-time high. Although the need is great, there continues to be restrictions on NP’s License in regards to practicing. Many of the restrictions make it hard to practice at one’s full capability. My dreams of becoming a Nurse Practitioner still gives me hope with fears at time. Continuing to network in order to help with marketing my skills and resume for a position after school appears to be mandatory.
By reviewing and analysing the chart we can as employees identify where our areas of self development are needed.
The specific actions I need to implement to meet my goal of identifying the skills, knowledge, and motivation of my team is to develop a tracking grid for the evaluation results along with establishing a definition of each level of development. I must also block time on my calendar during the week of February 27th to ensure that I can focus on completing the assessments. This goal and action steps will ensure that I am using the appropriate and necessary leadership style with my management team for the situation they are currently in.
I want to learn a variety of techniques and methods to scaffold my lessons. I also want to increase my knowledge about assessment practices and different ways that assessment can be done. Furthermore, I want to expose myself to different resources in order to create purposeful lesson plans. I hope to achieve this by connecting with other teachers, volunteering in different high schools with a variety of teacher, attending workshops, as well as doing my own
To manage the business, one must have a good experience and relevant qualification. The right qualification one must have is an MBA in order to have the right understanding and knowledge you must require. And experience is one thing that will come after a good investment of time in learning and development (miller, 2011).
My long term personal mission in my career is to own and run a hugely successful eighteen-hole PGA certified golf course. I envision my shorter term career goals as being stepping stones to this. Being financially comfortable and secure, eventually having enough capital to invest in a business is a major focus of mine. Honing my skills as a golfer and a golf professional to the master level will serve me well in making business connections. Finally, acquiring business acumen by studying and learning from the professionals in my life already will give me what I need for running a business. By
I composed numerous plans for each competency addressed in order to achieve mastery of that particular competency. In regards to the first competency addressed, Standard 3: Instructional Delivery, I planned to make sure I differentiated in all my classes in a variety of ways. One way I planned to differentiate is by ability. Teachers do not have any control over the students that walk thru our door on the first day of school. No matter where they fall academically, we have to build them up to greater heights of achievement. By differentiating in a variety of ways and settings, I am able to help students improve to greater heights of ability, and meet every student’s needs (Jennings, 2012). When approaching the second content competency, Standard 5: Learning environment, my plan was to allow my students to help establish the rules of the class, and to make sure I hold them accountable for those rules. the policies, procedures, and rules of the class are usually determined at the beginning of the school year, and many teachers refer to these tasks as setting the tone for the course of the year. Setting the tone, establishing
To prepare for employment, a new graduate can self-analyse skills and clinical performance using models of analysis. Self analysis can take many forms, from the competency learning model to personal reflective writing. The purpose is to identify areas for skill development and use the models for improving knowledge (Higginson and Hicks, 2006). From this preparation, the individual can then appreciate the level of clinical supervision that will be required post graduation to support professional development and direct of job applications appropriately towards either the NHS or private sector. One model of self analysis that an individual can use is the four stages of competency. These four stages allow a person to identify the level currently at in relation to a specific skill and then over time chart the course of the development of the skills from incompetence to competence (Getha-Taylor, Hummert, Nalbandian and Silvia, 2013).
The planning stage can be carried out on one’s own or in consultation with an employer, manager, supervisor or colleagues and should result in the development of a Personal Learning Plan (see Template in Appendix 2). The personal learning plan template includes the following headings: learning need; learning outcome; priority; appropriate learning activity and timeframe for activity.
Yet, it is important for teachers to provide his or her students with useful and effective feedback. Feedback that he or she can use to help him or her understand his or her strengths and weaknesses, especially since at this stage, especially since the end goal is to help the students’ transition from the proficient performance category to advanced (“Using Student Achievement Data to Support Instructional Decision Making,” n.d.). Therefore, if I were the teacher, I would design a rubric to accompany the “Parts of the Plant Diagram” worksheet. The rubric would contain the following criteria: (1) All four parts of the plant labeled=Advanced (4 Points), (2) Three parts of the plant labeled=Proficient (3 Points), (3) Two parts of the plant labeled=Below proficient (2 points), and (4) One part of the plant labeled=Way below proficient (1
Assess your progress and skills with quantitative reasoning and analysis. Where do you still need to improve, and what is your plan for improving these skills?
This visual encompasses academic-based goals, varied “learning environments”, personalized plans for students, and up to date records of student achievement. Each category then goes into separate subcategories to pose further questions for consideration. These categories set individual goals for the students, set by the student, and incorporate valuable feedback while implementing a value based grading scale. It also takes into account important details like strengths and weaknesses, motivations, and places a high value on advancement. All of these developmental details are crucial for a teacher to understand the value of personalized learning for a
