Using E-Learning in the Philippines
In the advent of the implementation of 2002 Basic Education Curriculum of the Philippines under the leadership fo the Departemnt of Education (DepEd), the need to use e-learning in the classroom is important since integration of subject areas is emphasized.
According to President Gloria Macapagal Arroyo, she envisioned every child in the Philippines to acquire quality education and that every classroom should have a computer. Based on her State of the Nation Address (SONA), President Arroryo stated her program in providing an approach that ensures high quality education. In July, 2003, president Arroyo started the program known as the Strong Republic School Distance learning System (SRDLS). She stated the need for a government to support the use of distance education utilizing e-learning as one approaches to promote the provision of quality education in the local communities and to promote equal access to basic education.

According to Loughney (2006), one of the disadvantages is that learners need to have access to computer and as well to the Internet. They also need computer skills to be able to use the system. Without the skills and knowledge of using and browsing it is not possible for the students to succeed in e learning. Slow Internet Connection can also be a factor.
E learning also requires just as much time for attending class and completing assignments as any traditional classroom requires. This means that students have to be highly motivated and responsible because they are on their own. Without the proper routine structures of a traditional class, student may get lost or confused about course activities and deadlines causing the students to fail or do poorly.
Students may feel isolated from the instructor. They need to have discipline to work independently. Need to have good writing communication skills may sometimes result to misinterpretation.
Evaluation of E-Learning
Whatever the technology, learning is the important element. e-Learning is no longer simply associated with distance or remote learning, but can now form a choice of the best and most appropriate ways of promoting effective learning.
A lot of people are heading to E-learning. E-learning is a short form of internet learning. That means if the person want to have E-learning he should ably online. E-leaning is the newest way of education in this century. So in the last few years a lot of people start to get their learning online. E-learning offers manes major to learn, open time to get learned, a degree of the major. Also E-learning could be in anywhere or in anytime. Because of that E-learning can be useful for workers, house wives, and mothers. But most of people are not aware of the negative effects of E-learning. Not fair, less method, and effects the health these are three main effects of E-learning.
An important reason why educators should enforce writing in their classes is so their students will be successful at whatever job they choose to take. Teachers should always incorporate writing in their lesson plans, no matter the subject. Writing in every class should be “a way to study, to learn, or to construct new knowledge or generate new networks of understanding,” but instead, it “has become increasingly rare” (Tyre 5). Writing is a critical part of every job there is.
I have never been an excellent student and perennially struggled with English, Math, and Science growing up. These subjects would cast a pall over my day and school work. Anxiety would well up inside of me which often resulted with me passed out across my desk sleeping through parts of class. When I would return home at day’s end, I rarely completed my homework. When I did try to complete homework, it often ended in tears of frustration or the hurling of a book across the room. Taking this class has helped to quell a portion of that anxiety and frustration. It was a grueling class, seemingly impossible at times, but taking this class has given me the confidence to know that not only can I finish the class if I work hard but can also excel! Writing is something that I will exercise throughout my college curriculum and my life. It will help to convey my ideas to the instructor, peers, bosses, and co-workers. In my college curriculum, it will also show my instructors that I’m learning the information provided and how to apply that knowledge appropriately. It will allow me to complete assignments, discussions, and reports, and I will also apply writing in basic communication when necessary.
A writing class does not only have to be used to teach you how to write but, it shows that a professor can teach a lot more than just
In school writing was kind of easy and it was about testing what the students learned. In addition, testing their knowledge and information, but in college writing is totally different as Strong said. The thing that makes me to fully agree with the author is that I experienced this situation by taking this one further step from school to college. This experience is compatible with Strong’s article and thoughts. Another part of the article that I agree with is that in school teachers care too much about the student’s studies. Teachers go after their students notifying them with their deadlines and test dates, while in college or university professors are kind of irresponsible with the students’ behaviors and actions. Each learner is responsible for any error he commits, remembering test dates and deadlines, which makes this a huge progress and improvement in life skills. This transition is never going to be easy, instead it’s difficult and it needs diligent work because it is about moving to the next level in
First, the writing class helps one on tests. From SATs to finals, writing is needed. If one is not strong in writing, they miss a huge part of their tests. Even though the student may know the right answers, if they can’t write well, there is no point. It's like listening to two same age high school students speak against each other. However, they both are speaking about the same topic. Whoevers voice, explanation and stance is better would win more approval. The same thing applies when it comes to tests. The better written, the more likely a teacher

E-learning has grown tremendously over the past several years as technology has been integrated into education and training. “E-learning” may be defined as instruction delivered electronically via the Internet, Intranets, or multimedia platforms such as CD-ROM or DVD. Since many users today have access to direct Internet connections, e-learning is often identified with web-based learning.
Learning in this generation is so facile that we can acquire it easily by using the internet or other devices which are capable of giving information. These devices are so common in which children nowadays can easily use these devices. Seeing this, I can tell that information for us today can be accessed freely and it made as progress highly in our learning.
This framework of three elements provides a useful form for considering factors influencing instruction and learning in computer-based
Online education is a type of distance learning. The student is taking courses without attending a school or university. Instead, online students and teachers interact over the Internet. Online classes can teach students educational responsibility. By forcing them to access the online portal to participate in reading the textbooks/lectures and doing the assignments. Technical abilities is also learned with online classes. Students who lack the tech savvy knowledge can learn how to navigate through the online environment. Being able to access the online portal at any given time of the day is one other benefit to online education. Though online education may seem beneficial, there are more negatives than
Distance education has the ability can be a great, as well as, a bad tool to use in the educational system. There are many pros and cons to both sides of the spectrum. In today’s world this is the constant struggle school, education faculties, along with any type of faculties that uses technology.
Television was one of the first medias that E-Learning was available by but since it was too expensive and the information was too dry, people started to lose interest (Lyon). Videotapes then evolved and were used in school classrooms (Lyon). When the Internet was invented, E-Learning used it to allow students to work with tutors from various places around the world. Students can work at their own pace thus giving them time to do other activities. Even though there is an issue with bandwidth, there are other optional types of media on the Internet, which uses less bandwidth than others.
e-Learning is a catch-all term that covers a wide range of instructional material that can be delivered on a CD-ROM or DVD, over a local area network (LAN), or on the Internet. It includes Computer-Based Training (CBT), Web-Based Training (WBT), Electronic Performance Support Systems (EPSS), distance or online learning and online tutorials. The major advantage to students is its easy access. There
