Resources used in my workplace have to meet JHP requirements – this is known as the Q100 document system where the trainer designs material but has to submit it to be added to the document system as acceptable and within JHP design requirements prior to use.

Whatever the technology, learning is the important element. e-Learning is no longer simply associated with distance or remote learning, but can now form a choice of the best and most appropriate ways of promoting effective learning.
The Internet provides learners and trainers with the ability to access large amounts of information quickly and easily. Turning this information into a valuable learning resource requires organisation, planning, and careful selection of material. Trainers/Tutors should select websites that are appropriate to the needs of their learners and that support the objectives of the curriculum. Learners should be encouraged to develop a variety of analytical, searching and critical thinking skills and strategies to become confident and competent users of the Internet. Selected websites will need to be revisited regularly, however, to ensure that the content and/or the URL have not changed.

With internet existence, E-learning that is internet-based computerized learning is designed to facilitate learning and improve its quality anytime and anywhere (Gell-Mann, 1996; Alonso, López, Manrique, & Viñes, 2005).
Through research I have learned that “there are two types of e-learning synchronous and asynchronous. Synchronous referring to a specific hour where both parties meet for the course. Asynchronous is using computer sources for course material and contact with instructor is done through online programs” (Bubatu). Synchronous it the type of training one would expect from a traditional classroom training. However, today’s traditional classroom training also incorporates e-learning tools. Whether the instructor is using a power point presentation, video, or material found on a website, it’s important to recognize that technology has become very important for classroom training. Besides my high school years, I have yet to see an educator teach with only a book in hand. As technology changes, so does asynchronous training. Newer methods of online training become available every day.
For the majority of people, it is difficult to imagine what life would be like without the internet. The world of education has also undergone tremendous change since the advent of the internet. It allows students to quickly obtain a vast amount of information on every subject. They also get the convenience of going to class and completing assignments, permitting them to schedule their time with great flexibility. The internet has become one of the easiest, fastest and most effective tools that can be used to explore and comprehend more about the world; however, it is not without problems. The uses of the internet by students changes their thinking patterns, distracts their attention and reduces their interpersonal skills.
In the modern world, lifelong learning is becoming an important concept. In this context, people have to advance their skills to fit in the dynamic work places. E-learning allows one to advance their skills without taking long work leaves.

The learning process starts and ends with the learner. The knowledge, curriculum, content, pedagogy and outcomes are networked around the Leaner. E-learning has evolved as a system that provides learner-centric learning services. The future quality in developing future e-learning systems in the, the quality considerations should be directed towards the learners’ needs and circumstances (Ehlers 2004). Hence, this research focuses on learners as the unit of analysis.
E-Learning involves teaching and learning methods that are facilitated and supported by the use of technology. E-Learning includes having access to teaching and learning activities and resources online; Multimedia and communication tools; classroom technologies like personal response systems and online assessment (Alman, & Lincoln, 2012). E-learning has many benefits that include the increased chances for dialogue offered to the students and teachers. These advantages help in enhancing the learning experience.
E- Learning can be defined in many ways. There are delivery system, communication and educational paradigm oriented definitions. The delivery system definitions presents e-learning as a means of accessing knowledge through learning teaching or training. This definition focuses on the accessibility of resources and not the results of achievements. For example E-learning is the delivery of a learning, training or education program by electronic means”. The communication oriented definition considers e-learning to be a communication, interaction, and collaboration tool and assigns secondary roles to its other aspects and characteristics. Their definitions come mostly from the academic and communication sectors. An example of this would be “E- Learning is education that’s uses computerized communication systems as an environment for communication, the exchange of information and interaction between students and instructors”.
Arkadin, a company rapidly growing with the rising popularity of audio and web-conferencing, decided to implement an e-learning program to facilitate standard training for their new employees. Arkadin realized that learning is vital to an organization’s ability to maintain intellectual capital and that e-learning was the only way to ensure the uniformity of learning throughout all offices.
E-learning rises up out of the parallel idea of email. Email is ordinarily depicted as the action of transmitting "mail" with machines and systems. In the same way, e-learning alludes to learning exercises that include computers and networks. The use of the internet for educational purposes is actually normal for people these days. People currently are getting tired of setting feet to the library. It turns out that students and teachers are actually using the Internet for educational purposes.
