As a product of the Muscogee County School district, my life mirrors that statement. If it were not for my awesome teachers I would not be the person and teacher I am today. Growing up poor, I lived in Wilson Apartments and attended Fox Elementary School. It was my kindergarten teacher Mrs. Vignery that ignited my passion to become a teacher. She would always hold my hand and made me feel loved despite my many issues. As a result, I wanted to pass this love to my students. Through twelve years of school the teacher that stands out is my band teacher, Amanda Posey. She made me a better person, helped me grow up, and taught me many skills that I will use. She has made a positive impact and difference on my life. Posey has a passion for teaching music, teaches life lessons, and challenges her students making her an amazing teacher.

I go to Thornapple Kellogg High School in Middleville, Michigan. Everyone here is usually pretty kind, but there is one person who has helped me excel with my learning and that is my AP statistics teacher Mrs. Wilkinson. Mrs. Wilkinson is a lot more caring than she appears. She really idolizes about her students and how they learn. Mrs. Wilkinson always asks us how our lives are going and what we want to do. She loves to connect with her students on a personal level and is interested in our well being. Her teaching methods always connect with something that she knows we’ll understand. Although she may not seem like the most heartwarming teacher, but she really cares about our well-being.

Mrs. Wilson is the teacher who has had the most impact on my life. She was my first grade teacher and the woman who gave me a love for learning. I was a child with a very low self-esteem. I felt like I struggled to fit in, I had two older brothers, who to me, seemed to be great at everything. My brothers are four and five years older than I am. My oldest brother got straight A’s and my other brother was very athletic.

A high school teacher that has impacted my life is my 9th grade Geometry teacher, Mrs. Scully. Mrs. Scully has impacted my life from the very beginning. She has always been very caring and fun to be around. She is probably one of the most unique people in my life. She has always wanted me to do my best, and worked hard for me to understand the course. I was very troubled in mathematics, but the first time I received an 80 on a test in her class was the happiest moment for me. She is dedicated and she cares about you. She wants you to do good. I only had her for that year, but I still continue to see her. Sophomore and Junior year I would also use my tutoring time to be with her. I am now a senior class officer and she is our leader. She puts together senior activities and the officers help her. She influences me to be the very best person I can be. I see how she has these stylish cars and is overall happy with her life and committed to what she does. It’s inspiring and I can only wish to become as happy and successful as she is. The teachers, they can point to and say, “That individual assisted me in becoming the person I am today.” For me, I have one special person that I can do that to. This individual is not only my favorite teacher, but very influential in my life. Katie Josef, my Ed Tech teacher, has shown me what true passion for the field of education looks like. I witness her upbeat personality, and get to experience the kindness she exuberates to her students on a daily basis. She drives the individuals in her class to succeed to their best ability. She inspires me to become an outstanding teacher in whatever field I choose to pursue. Mrs. J has shown me what a teacher that cares for her students truly looks like. With the love and support she shows, it is no mystery how she creates unbreakable bonds with her students- bonds that last for many years, even after a student's graduation. I desire to create these same bonds with my future

In my thirteen years of schooling I have studied under more than fifty teachers, all of which have dropped a coin or two into my academic piggy bank. But, when I think of a person who has had an important influence on my life, one name stands out in my mind more than others: Mrs.Cox. This woman was one of a kind! As both my second and third grade teacher, Mrs.Cox had two full years to fill my head with the wonders of science, math, reading, and writing. Within this time frame she taught me with strategies I had never seen before and ultimately helped me gain an in-depth understanding of the core subjects in a way that made me realize that with unwavering focus and commitment I could master anything I was given.

There are several teachers who have inspired me since I started school many years ago. If i had to decide on the one teacher who has made the greatest impact on my life, it would be Coach Mike Hammons. Coach Hammons teaches middle school World History at Flintville Elementary School. Coach Hammons has inspired me in many ways. When I’m in his classroom, he makes learning fun for me. He loves to be around us students. Finally he’s funny. Coach Hammons is probably an inspiration to not only me, but every student he teaches.

In my 12 years of being in school, I have had a lot of different experiences with many different teachers. Some good and some, unfortunately, bad. I have had many favorites and some teachers that I couldn't wait until I dint have their class again. One teacher that I am so Grateful to have had is my 7th grade geography teacher Mrs. Gribble. Mrs. Gribble inspired me to always go after what I wanted, do my best at all times, and live my life according to me.

Has someone ever made you feel welcome, taught you life lessons that would be helpful to your upcoming life, or someone that taught you something in a fun way so you actually liked learning? Someone like a teacher? A teacher is a person in our life who provides many important things including a good education. A teacher means a lot to his or her students. During the six hours a day during the 5 day a week can really impact a student's life. And I can only think of one teacher that really impacted my life- Mr. Miller.

First day of senior year I walked into my Literature class taught by the incredibly too chipper, Ms. Cordell. If her name didn’t already sound prestigious enough, she expected nothing but sublime work and effort from each us. In light of it, I loved having a teacher that pushed her class as unyielding as individually we were capable of. Not to mention, I felt that she knew our potential and uniquely wanted to help us live up to it. Her classroom was organized and clean.

On a personal level, Ms. Davis, my theater teacher, helped me through one of the hardest moments of my life, losing a friend to suicide. She was a literal shoulder to cry on and her words of wisdom are ones that I will never forget. In the theater space, she helped me find my voice and my place as a human and as a director. I never would have gained the passion and drive for the arts if it wasn’t for her leadership and her willingness to allow me the opportunity to work as her assistant director.
