Amey Kamat Writing 151 Prof. Domitteo November 13, 2014 Drifting Through the Waves Water has been a main factor through human histories life. Our human body is composed mostly of water. Water helps our body by regulating the body’s temperature, hydrating the body, help clean the body and help lubricate your bones. People don’t know that you can use water for other purposes such as water rehabilitation. So to top it all off the Song waves by Mr. Probz was a great edition to this paper. The song Waves is about how a guy that recently broke up with his girlfriend and he’s having trouble forgetting her. At the beginning of the song Mr. Probz wakes up on a beach right in the shallow part of the water. To me it symbolizes that the beach and water are there to help patch his wounds by forgetting his girlfriend. So with that water rehabilitation is mainly used to help build back your strength, endurance, posture, mobility, and many more. Water rehabilitation is used for major or even the simplest injuries. Injuries and injured parts of your body tend to use water rehabilitation are ACL/MCL strains, arthritis, chronic pain, neck, shoulder, back, strokes, knees and neurological disabilities. There have been many athletes that have used water rehabilitation or aquatic rehab to help rehabilitate their body from major injuries. Aquatic rehabilitation is one of the most useful types of rehabilitation and can be much more relaxing then other rehabilitation techniques. Aquatic

Blues is an African-American music that covers a wide range of emotions and musical styles. “Feeling blue” is expressed in songs whose verses lament injustice or express longing for a better life and lost loves, jobs, and money. But blues is also a raucous dance music that celebrates pleasure and success. Central to the idea of blues performance is the concept that, by performing or listening to the blues, one is able to overcome sadness and find hope.
Josh Ritter’s “Another New World” is a somber and haunting song, released in 2010 and under the genres of Alternative and Indie. Its purpose is to describe and entertain, much like a story. The audience stems from this purpose, and includes those who enjoy storytelling, or the alternative type of music. The interpretation of this song is influenced by the subject and voice, and the effect of this piece relies heavily on the use of sibilance and personification.
With scientist studying the many ways in which water can heal the body, there is a lack of study on just why people are turning to water for therapy, even when a pool is not within a short distance, or of any convenience. As aquatic therapy being labeled one of the best forms of rehabilitation for people with injuries like: spinal inflammation, balance troubles, and more, by doctors, this paper aims to focus on the voice of the patients and how they feel aquatic therapy effects them? The study done concentrates on an aquatic therapy center built by Elizabeth Taylor in a city named Culver City, the heart of Los Angeles, CA. Ms. Taylor saw a need for aquatic therapy in Los Angeles, and conveniently built a center that could benefit all, as the city is surrounded and infused with people of all walks of life. Ms. Taylor serviced the center and community with top doctors, therapist, and all the tools needed for people to get back on their feet. The paper will be drawing from participant observations, numerous interviews from rehabilitation professionals and patients, and scholarly articles to give insight on why so many people are turning towards aquatics for their rehab journey. Through my data I will discuss that though aquatic arena can make exercises more tolerable, mobility freer, and provide rapid rehabilitation, it is not for the best form of therapy for any and everyone.

The 1991 hit song "Wind of Change" from the German band Scorpions is iconic for the 1990s and is probably one of the most evocative songs produced at the end of the Cold War. Tensions were high during the early 1990s and people were starting to feel that something was changing about society. One can practically associate the single with the fall of the Iron Curtain, especially considering the feelings experienced by Easterners and Westerners alike at the time when they acknowledged the end of an unjust system. Scorpions practically seized the moment of presenting the world with the emotions experienced by individuals as the Berlin Wall came down and as the Soviet regime came to an end.

decreased in pain during the 50-foot walk test compared to the land-based exercises.7 So the article and the point I’m making is the water-based exercise is a great tool to use for people with osteoarthritis. The conclusion of both studies shows aquatic therapy helps people with osteoarthritis with keeping the patient active, strengthening their joints, pain relief, and helping them to not fatigue as quickly as land exercises or activities would do.
‘No matter gay, straight, or bi, I was born to survive’. In the words of lady GaGa herself it doesn’t matter who you marry, what your gender is or what’s you race you just need to accept others and yourself. Lady GaGa’s song ‘Born this Way’ informs others about self-acceptance in her new album ‘Born this way’. This song is about people abusing others and reflecting badly on them self because of their race, gender and choice in who they marry. Lady GaGa expresses her thoughts about people’s issues to say it doesn’t matter who you are because you were born that way.
Critiquing Music Many songs that are played on the radio have, and carry, so much emotion through individuals each and every day. The song “Ride” by Somo, intensely exposes many of the emotions that a guy has when he is with a girl that he loves. Somo is explaining that he loves the girl he is with for the night. It does not explain how long he has known or been with the girl, just that he is having so much passion for her the night he is singing this song.
Children with disabilities like cerebral palsy (CP), down syndrome and autism spectrum usually have limited or reduced muscular strength, cardiorespiratory endurance, coordination and motor skills which discourages them from taking part in physical activities and also make them more prone to foster secondary health related issues. The perfect balance of exercise and therapy is required for children with disabilities to improve their endurance and motor skills. There are various methods to prove it and despite lacking supporting evidence, water has shown to yield resistance that could be utilized to enhance muscle strength and aerobic ability. The main aim of this article is to highlight the training effectiveness and progress of the group aquatic aerobic exercise for children with disabilities on cardiorespiratory
Aquatic therapy is a therapy that is done on water instead of land. Aquatic therapy can include water weights, exercises in the water, and water aerobics. Some programs will combine both land and water exercises, and other just water exercises. Aquatic therapy takes the weight off people so people are not bearing all their body weight like they are on land. Especially, osteoporosis, osteoarthritis, fibromyalgia, low back pain. Aquatic therapy continues to be improving and is becoming more popular. It can also help normal/healthy humans live a healthier life. So I’m going to be discussing the different types of illness, diseases, syndromes, disorders, pain, and musculoskeletal problems and explain if aquatic therapy help manage their symptoms, or cures them.

A HISTORICAL & BIOGRAPHICAL ANALYSIS OF THE SONG “CANDLE IN THE WIND” BY ELTON JOHN
break the shackles, but the fight club formed a new frame to limit them. Meanwhile, Jack created a new "me" to improve his life and the dissatisfied world, but Taylor controlled Jack's life, in other words, Jack fell into a world which is created by others, he seems has a normal life but was bound by life. In fact, Jack and Taylor are the same one because Taylor is another personality which is the idealism personality of Jake, but Jack is a weak materialist, and Taylor is a powerful idealist. Jack killed the Taylor, so he destroyed the Utopia, and ultimately return to real world. On the other hand, Pink Floyd's album "The Wall" also reflect similar idea. The whole album has a clear story line, there are several songs, which is "Another Brick in the Wall, Pt. 1, 2", "Mother", and "Empty Spaces", talk about something happened in Pink such as Pink's father's dead, overprotective mother, tormented at school, and wife's betrayed which created the wall and isolated Pink from the outside; however, the wall is not all created by external factors, Loneliness is like a spiritual wall as a invisible limitation, and the wall is accumulated by all stages of life, which is not transferred by individual will. Pink's enclosed thoughts make the Wall indestructible which limit his behavior, until the last song "Outside The Wall", Pink breaks the wall and go outside. The similarity between “Fight Club” and “The Wall” is both internal and external factors create a wall to isolate them from the
