Professional Development Professional development is vital for growing an individual’s capabilities in both the workplace and in one's personal experience. Personal professional development through an employer has the potential to demonstrate that they care about them and provide intrinsic motivation to capable employees which will result in a cheerful and productive followers that will support the leadership (Northhouse, 2013). Human Services Incorporated stated purpose is to transform lives and disciple making. The organization also claims to embrace opportunities for growth (41, 2009). Therefore, Humans Services Incorporated would do well to institute and systematize a personal professional development program for employees and volunteer staff.
