Bill Nye VS. Ken Ham

Ken Ham is a Christian who established a creationist museum, he insisted the Earth still young. Ken Ham said: "Today, there is too much influence of the theory of evolution on children, we need to take the child back to the correct view of the world in this debate, and it is a good opportunity to let people know more about God, and the spread of the Gospel. "
Ken Ham 's position is creationism. He believes that people are not evolved, because God created human, and then human evolution. That is, if there is no God, humans would not have evolved. From the content point of view, creationism is opposed to idealistic theory of biological evolution; According to some biblical scholars and philosophers to define the word - "creationism," which refers to a political doctrine, this doctrine is a basis for a the origin of a particular religious belief, effective and superior to other belief systems. According to this definition, creationism cannot be attributed to a theory, but it should be regarded as religion-based political doctrine.
Ken Ham believes that since God created all life on Earth, and nothing has changed. Most believers believe that the world is God specially designed and created by the law of God dominated enacted, it is orderly coordination, arrangement is reasonable, wonderful sound and eternal. It completely ignoring the reality of changes in Earth 's orbit data. And that 's all the famous Christian scholars have no doubt believed the
Christians today have a biblical principle and opinion of the universe existence. Christians believe that God created earth and that he accomplished that in only six days. Genesis 1 explains the creation and the interpretation is so utterly clear and one writer states “Thus, any interpretation that goes beyond a clear plain meaning of the text is considered to compromise Biblical authority and capitulate to evolutionary theories”. One look at the Young Earth View is said to be formed from the Modern English
In the twenty century, the U.S society was in the period of tending to be a human base society. The laws in America were introduced to create a fair and regulated society for its citizens. The First and Fourteenth Amendment of Constitution granted that the U.S citizens have the freedom of speech. And the New York State had its law of Criminal Anarchy Act since 1902 for “organized government should be overthrown by force or violence, or by assassination of the executive head or of any of the executive officials of government, or by any unlawful means (n.p).” The citizen in the any state of the U.S should always both obey the state law and follow the national constitution. Otherwise, the citizen would get corresponding punishment for jail,
This view basically claims that God began the process of evolution within the context of created matter.
In the book Brave New World by Aldous Leonard Huxley, there are many topics covered about the world, freedom, and men. One of the topics discussed is the theory of evolution. There are many arguments presented about how the world and people evolved. There are different arguments created by creationists and evolutionists. For the creationists, everything is created by a creator such as God and that matter was formed by him to create the earth and even people on earth as well as other creatures in the universe. On the other hand, the evolutionists do not believe in creation, and they argue that everything evolved from their old forms to their new forms now. Another topic presented is the discussion about freedom which evolutionists believed not to exist since matter is not free and it is governed by laws of nature and that includes people and all living things and non-living things in the whole universe. However, creationists would tell otherwise. This proves that evolutionists and creationists have a different perspective in how all things are formed and how they are going to be.
There has been talks about new media and how they need to portray both sides of the stories because most media outlets portray their side of things to make it look like they are right in the sense of religious and secular people. Most people accept the theory of evolution while the Bible denies any sense of evolution. Evolutionist believe that forms of life was created through the process of natural selection, while Christians believe that life was formed through God. In the book, Keller lists different models that people believe and partake in including: conflict model, independence model, and central model. People who think the conflict model is true, believe that Genesis chapter 1 teaches that God created all forms of life within twenty-four hours thousands of years ago.
It is from this conviction that Newman places himself in the progressive creationist camp. This view is named such because it sees creation as occurring in a progression with various levels which built upon one another, using a combination of supernatural intervention and providential guidance to harmonize the histories found in both the biblical account of Genesis and the scientific account we find in nature.
Creationism, it is theory that claims every element in the earth, including living species, are all created by the god as the Bible said, which denies the evolutional theory came up by Charles Darwin. Then, since Darwin’s evolutionary theory is testable and make solid predictions whereas creationism cannot be tested nor predict precisely, it has been considered as a pseudoscience. However, recently there is a Ph.D. Biochemist bring creationism theory back to the audience again, his name is Duane Tolbert Gish from University of California. Dr. Duane T. Gish has written several books and articles to support creationism, and the most famous one is Evolution: The Fossil Say No!, which published in 1978. In his article, he denied the evolutionism since he claims there is insufficient fossil evidence to support Darwin’s theory, and which would prove creationism is real.
With Righting America at the Creation Museum, Susan L. Trollinger and William Vance Trollinger, Jr., give crucial insights into an American cultural as well as political phenomenon, namely Conservative Christian movements and one of their outlets: the Creation Museum in Petersburg, Kentucky. Ken Ham, an ardent supporter of creationism, and Answers in Genesis (AiG), an organisation that aims at spreading a literal interpretation of the Bible, managed to build the museum with donations. Three years after its opening in 2007, the museum had already attracted one million visitors (most of them held a college or advanced degree) who were able to walk around approximately 150 exhibits that are displayed over 75000 square feet. The museum’s location
If you take the bible literally you will know that the earth was created in six literal days. The world was spoken into existence by God’s Word. The bible says in Hebrews 11:3 that through faith we understand that the worlds were framed by the word of God, so that things which are seen were not made of things which do appear. As christians we believe through faith that this is the true account of the earth but, evolution teaches the exact opposite. Evolution turns the creation event into a process that spanned billions of years and is still not complete.
Creationism is the acceptance that the universe and living organisms originate from definite acts of divine creation, as in the Biblical account, rather than by natural processes such as evolution. A creationist is someone who dismisses scientific explanations for the origin of life and the universe, preferring a hypothesis of supernatural creation by God. The considerable amount of creationists in the United States are fundamentalist Christian Protestants, but there are creationists of other denominations as well. Creationism was the default hypothesis before Charles Darwin’s, but when the theory of evolution was proposed, its superior support and explanation led it to quickly win scientists over. Contrary to creationist, today there is no deliberate scientific debate
Evolutionary theory has accrued evidence from diverse scientific fields and is now championed as the centerpiece of biology. Creationism has branched out to include scientific, moralistic, and probabilistic arguments, and its alliance with fundamentalist Christianity has helped it retain political power. Toumey asserts that “without the churches, academies, colleges, lobbies, rallies, broadcasts, and mailing lists of the New Religious Right, creationism would be an obscure oddity; with its Religious Right sponsors, however, it becomes a popular sensation that generates difficult public controversy about science education.”
The debate between creationists and evolutionists has been raging on for centuries. The clash between these opposing views was illustrated through the debate of Bill Nye and Ken Ham. Bill Nye being from the evolutionist side, and Ken Ham from the creationist. After the debate was over the winner I believe was quite evident, Bill Nye. I believe that Bill Nye won because his arguments were concrete, accurate and relatable. He argued over the age of the age of Earth , the validity of the story of "Noah's Ark", and the possibility that all animals were once herbivores.
In early February of this year there was a much publicized debate between Bill Nye of early 90’s “Bill Nye the Science Guy” television fame and the CEO of Answers in Genesis, Ken Ham. The topic of debate was whether or not a creationists model of origins is viable given the modern scientific era. This topic was one of great interest to many people as evidenced by the nearly eight hundred thousand individuals who viewed the debate online by way of an internet live stream, not to mention the fact that the video of the debate has been viewed on YouTube over three and a half million times. Its exposure alone makes it of great interest and should cause our ears to perk up. The content of this debate has been widely accessed and like it or not, many people were influenced by either of these two men, if not both. Given the influence of the celebrity status of Mr. Nye among the secular community and the widely popular evangelical Mr. Ham, both the church and the secular community were tuning in for this debate. So depending on the results and the methodology used, this could have either been very beneficial for the church or very detrimental, which is all the more reason for us to be paying attention. Can you believe in the Big Bang Theory and still be a Christian?
When it comes to origins of the universe, Dawkins scoffs that Christians believe God created the world. But, before we can proceed, it must be recognized that Dawkins himself has faith––his faith rests in human beings. He says:
Bill Nye is an American science educator, comedian, television host, actor, writer, scientist, and former mechanical engineer. Ken Ham is a young Earth creationist, fundamentalist Christian, and the president of Answers in Genesis (AiG), a Creationist apologetics ministry which operates the Creation Museum. They had a debates about “Is creation a viable model of origins in today’s modern scientific era?” They both talked a lot about this topic, but I will only summary a few. There opinions are really depth theories to research.
