When I was in third grade there was this kid named Andrew. He is a very important person in my memories because he was my bully. It wasn’t the kind of bullying situation that you could fix by telling a parent because he was in my dad’s car. Yes he was a person in my dad’s carpool and there was nothing i could do about it. At school there was an assembly that talked about the types of bullies. They were verbal, assault, exclusion, and cyber. He would do all of those things to me. He would call me fat, ugly, and swear words that i can’t say/write. He was also at my school and we had recess together. When i would go outside he would track me down and he would push me and throw basket balls and soccer balls at me. Once he pushed me over and said
In John Cloud’s essay “The Myths of Bullying” he talks about the reaction that schools and states have to bullying. Cloud expresses his concerns for bullying and also explains the steps that people are taking to help prevent it. He explains that most of the systems used now are not effective and are making school’s waste money. He then provides his own opinion on how bullying should be approached in school systems. Cloud’s essay not only tries to persuade the reader to his cause but he uses literary elements such as bathos and logos to appeal to and draw in the reader.
During my early years I was bullied in and out of school. My first experience with bullying started when I was in daycare. A girl named Kelly started bullying me. Every time I saw her she would talk about either my hair or my clothes or the way I looked. One day, my brother and Kelly’s sister were watching Kelly and I. Kelly’s aunt had told her to leave me alone. And after her aunt left the room, Kelly started pushing me to see what I would do and after a while I got really angry, so I punched her in the face. As her aunt came back in the room, she saw Kelly on the floor with me standing over her. Kelly’s Aunt then said, “Did I not tell you to leave her alone.” After that experience I knew that I had the

Bullying is a subject I totally take personally. There have been many occasions in which I found myself a victim of this epidemic, because that’s exactly what it is, an epidemic, a silent war, that no one seems to understand or even want to face alone, this issue that have swept under the rug all across this nation for a very long time, for far too long. The buck stops here! While reading through my Sunday morning paper over breakfast, I happened to run across a story that really tugged at my heart strings, and this is not the first story like this I’ve read. A young woman in high school here in my town kills herself because of continual bullying initiated by someone else at school. The question that runs through my mind is, why? There are
In the past, most American parents have looked at bullying as, “hey, they were only joking, toughen up a little”. Today it has turned into an epidemic. Most parents think that these type of things will just pass and go away as kids get older, not knowing the pain their child is feeling and that they are only masking that pain as they get older. America needs to recognize bullying as a true epidemic, these things will impact our kids lives forever.
It was a Thursday; the school bell rang through the halls alerting everyone that the day had come to a close. Mary had been struggling at school with bullying and trying to find who she was. She collected up her belongings and stuffed them into her backpack. She wandered down the hallway to the exit near the front. Everybody around her was happy the day was over but Mary seemed to be in a fog, she didn’t hear the conversations going on amongst the other students, she just kept walking until she reached the student parking lot. Looking around she spotted the red 2009 Subaru Legacy as she walked towards it her brother was standing by the driver’s side door waiting.
