Currently, it is the lowest cost producer in Alberta and is well known for lean and efficient management of its business process. The Alberta Oil Sands have affected many stakeholder groups such as government, residents, researchers and employees. However, we will focus on how it affects the Alberta Government; specifically, Ed Stlemech of the Conservative Government. As my stake holder, Ed Stlemech does not live within the Alberta Oil Sands area as well as have any direct relevance to it, I will instead examine how it has affects the citizens of Alberta and more importantly, those who live in and near the Fort Chipewyan area. In this way, the environmental, the economical as well as the societal impacts will impact Albertan voters and therefore impact the Conservative Government in way of the Alberta General Election.
Throughout my with Colleen Morgan, I had the opportunity to learn about the aspects of an organization. For example, I learned about the macro level challenges that Mooseheart is currently facing. Therefore, Ms. Morgan explained that the macro level challenges that Mooseheart is currently facing is the problems with the Department of Labor which required the organization about 4-5 months ago to redefine their salary position because there was a requirement for an hour cap (Colleen Morgan, personal interview, September 18, 2017). Furthermore, it is indicated how this has impact the organization because making new policy of hour requires to redefine work days and time off which is very complex.

The symptoms of this case are 2 employees, Millar and Boyce not meeting the daily quota of lengths. The team was not able to meet the deadline set by Parker because Millar and Boyce did not meet the daily goals. Since the deadline was not met, each team member would not receive the bonus of $300. Another symptom is Millar's lack motivation towards the end of the project.

Canadian based company, Saralyn Mills, is in need of a new marketing strategy to repair the current shortage of sales in Quebec, Canada. According to the case study, the Quebec and Ontario markets account for 69 percent of the company’s sales in Canada. Currently, Saralyn Mills does not have an effective strategy in place for the market of Quebec. The company’s current goal is to implement a global standardization strategy, which is focused on keeping a set marketing strategy the same for every location. It is up to the marketing manager, Nicole Vichon, to come up with a new and separate marketing plan for Quebec. Even though this would be a major policy change from the current global strategy of Saralyn Mills, case facts prove it could be very effective.
