IASIS Healthcare is a leading health care provider of acute care hospitals throughout the southwest. The company offers 16 acute care hospitals, one behavioral hospital and 132 physician medical offices (Murphy). With IASIS implementing the healthcare information and clinical technology, it shows a commitment towards patient care and the development towards the company’s future. Kaiser Permanente recognized as America’s number one non-profit health care provider offers hospital and physician care services. It currently has approximately 260,000 employees working in various hospitals, medical offices throughout California, Colorado, Hawaii, Georgia, the Mid-Atlantic and the Northwest (Kaiser). Kaiser continues to grow to accommodate the needs in the community by creating programs, such as, a Medical Financial Assistance program (Kaiser). The financial assistance program designed to help low-income and uninsured families with health care solutions. The program offers free health care or financial assistance to those families in need. By developing this partnership a cancer center opened in Wisconsin, creating new development and relationship opportunities for IASIS. The company continues to grow in high demand areas, such as the suburbs and urban areas of Texas and Utah, while offering its current patients in already established areas 148 physician clinics, outpatient surgical units, imaging centers (IASIS). Similarly, Kaiser Permanente and Target Corporation formed a partnership in November 2014 (Kaiser). The development of this partnership allowed for additional services of pediatric and adolescent care at Target Clinics. Through this agreement, Kaiser was able to staff additional nurse practitioners throughout the Target Clinics. Kaiser also established Permanente Group as a subsidiary for long term care for those that require help with daily living activities. The formation of Permanente Group resulted in the development of several different types of living arrangements for long term care, such as, assistant living, residential care facilities, continuing care retirement centers, adult day care programs, skilled nursing facilities and nursing homes
