. This can be considered as the first mover but also sometime risky, but nonetheless a great investment because it gives Verizon opportunity to test their product first and a lot of time, more often then so, customers want to buy cutting edge technology as soon as it comes out. VIABILITY AND RECOMMENDATION
After reviewing all financial reports and reading about Verizon strategy, the recommendation would to take advantage of cost advantage as well as competitive advantage by focusing on its strength as the leader of wireless service. It is evident that Verizon fits well in this industry and it should seek to compete more heavily with AT&T in the digital TV department.
The other recommendation is to get the EPS growth back and reduce
Verizon has gone through many changes in the last few years. The communication industry is extremely competitive and this company would not have had a chance of forming at all, except for the government ordered breakup of AT&T in 1984. Their targeted areas of communication are cellular, paging and PCS services for corporate and individual customers. They have been trying to expand their business for corporate local goods and services.
The generation of talking face-to-face is slowly fading away, and the technology era is going to keep on growing. One of the most widely used technology services known today is the cellular phone industry. According to the Pew Research Center’s website, 90% of American adults own a cell phone. Of that 90%, the smartphone ownership is at 64% (2013). Verizon Wireless, along with the other major carriers, T-Mobile, Sprint, and AT&T, have taken this data and comprised a growing industry where competition arises from all angles. These companies have battled one another on pricing, plans, and customer service for many years in order to stay on top. Unfortunately, these are major factors in whether or not a customer will choose the particular company over another.
Verizon Wireless is a big time cell phone company in which for years now, has been widely regarded as the top of competition. Which include companies such as at&t, sprint, and T-Mobile. While there are many other companies these are seen as the tops of competition in regards to others. Verizon in many of its commercials use a variety of rhetorical tactics to persuade you to believe they are truly the best in service. These tactics include providing coverage maps, using colorful balls in which compare between the four companies, and using written text stating facts about their coverage and overall service. While verizon may be the top in service all around I do believe some things are a little stretched.

However, they did know it would maximize their profits by selling the selling a portion of their business and other monies received. The loss of customer loyalty at the end of the day would not be worth the money they received. This scandal has now been seen as unethical and invasion of privacy. Before this chain of events Verizon was seen as one of the largest and best mobile company with 119.4 million subscribers as of 2013, now they face unsure customers who are not sure of this company and may switch to another provider. Although they were court ordered they did not fight this request and seen only their best
Verizon Wireless, officially incorporated as Verizon Communications Inc., is a company that provides communication, information, and entertainment products and services. Its consumer base consists of the general public, as well as businesses and governments. Its business operations can be divided into parts, which are Verizon Wireless and Wireline, though Verizon doesn't advertise its Wireline business by name. Instead, Wireline is advertised to the public as part of Verizon Wireless' services. Through expansion, technological improvements and more investment leading to continuous network and product upgrade, should lead Verizon to better compete in international services. With emerging competition from countries like China, it is a matter of survival to act or not.
Verizon has consistently provided some of the best mobile device service, as they have hands down the best network across the United States and around the globe as well. There is a reason that they have so many returning customers who have been with them for a long time and they have done it again with their Fios network, which has been a slam dunk. If you were not yet aware, Verizon now features internet and television, which you can get in a bundle package, saving you a lot of money in the long run.
Verizon is a major telecommunication provider in the United States. The company is the market leader, with $110 billion revenue and $2.4 billion in profit (MSN Moneycentral, 2012). Verizon has steady revenue streams that are largely based on a subscription model. It has several business segments, including wireless (63.3% of revenues) and wireline (36.7%) (2011 Verizon Annual Report). Most of this report will therefore focus on the wireless business, not only because this is the largest business that the company operates but because it is a rapidly growing and evolving business as well, a function of the rapid pace of smartphone adoption in America.
1. Mission, vision, and primary stakeholders Verizon's corporate mission statement is published in the introduction to the 2010 report, "to enable people and businesses to communicate with each other. We are also committed to providing full and open communication with our customers, employees and investors" (Verizon, 2011a, p. i.). This conveniently outlines the primary stakeholders, with customers owning the service delivered through contracts they commit to, employees obviously having a stake in compensation, benefits and retirement, and investors including institutions as well as individuals. Other stakeholders include the general public who benefit from corporate giving and responsibility, and the suppliers and distributors, their shareholders and employees who earn profit and wages generated directly and indirectly as part of the Verizon value chain, and perhaps the taxpayers who enjoy public services from direct and indirect (capital gains) taxes thereby.
Due to wide coverage and most efficient customer service Verizon has become the largest Wireless communication company in U.S.
Implementing Verizon’s strategy requires significant capital investment in all sectors of the business to remain ahead of the competition through technological advancements, better services, and partnerships with firms in other industries.
