Christianity: The Largest Religion

The three most practiced monotheistic religions- Christianity, Judaism, and Islam- share a belief in one singular God. Each have many similarities -like believing in one God and following sacred texts- as well as differences, such as different holidays and rituals. Although these three religions share similarities, there are more differences between them. Christianity is a religion based on the life and teachings of Jesus Christ through the holy book called the Bible.

The religion Christianity is unique around so many ways. Ranging from how the Bible was written, the Old & New Testaments, and the overall layout of the books. I believe that the Bible and Christianity in general has a huge impact on humanity. The cause to my belief is that I believe I’ve felt God move throughout my life, through other people’s life, and how God works in the everyday life today.

The Greco-Roman world was polytheistic and full of deities that were petty and faulted. As a young religion Christianity shares aspects with the religions around it, namely in the central stories. Eventually Christianity spread through the Roman Empire and to the rest of the world.
