I am not sitting on the cold dirt ground, freezing. I am not begging for clothing. I am not homeless, I am not hungry. I have an education at a great school. I have a warm place to come home to everyday, and a family who welcomes me. I sit down at dinner and eat a big meal. Some children don’t have the things that I have. They don’t have an education, or a warm house. Some don’t even have families to go home to. I live in America where safety and homes are plentiful. I’ve been gifted the blessing to grow up in this country, with a great life. America has handed me many great things. I wake up every morning and go to school.I have the right to go to school, and I am a woman. Children in many countries can not go to school because of their gender
I walked around unsteadily all day like a lost baby, far away from its pack. Surrounded by unfamiliar territory and uncomfortable weather, I tried to search for any signs of similarities with my previous country. I roamed around from place to place and moved along with the day, wanting to just get away and go back home. This was my first day in the United States of America.
People say that coming to the United State would be a dream come true. I was born on September 21, 1998 in Thailand. I thought coming to America, my life will change to better rather than working so hard everyday and night at the farm to get just enough rice for the family. Even in the United State, my parent’s had to starve just so we can eat.
There are events in life, which can change yourself or your way of thinking. As for me, I think the major change in my life occurred when I moved from France to America. This change has entirely affected my personality. Why? I arrived in the United States during the summer of 2002. It was really hard for me since my parents had only told me about the move in April of that year. Therefore, I did not have the time to prepare myself psychologically. My parents had talked about coming here for a very long time, even before I was born. Everything started in 1973. Indeed, my parents came from Iran to Europe in order to finish their studies and then to return back home. However, even at that time, they had not set their mind as to where they
The government don’t want immigrants in the country due to the rising problem of illegal immigrants that contributes to a decrease in the number of job opportunities and tax evasion that leads to loss, countries must not grant visas to applicants who cannot furnish substantial proof of their return. “immigrants seem to be bent on undoing America”. This quote is how some people feel about immigrants trying to come America.
In America we have so many opportunities that we do not acknowledge each day, but if we do we most likely take them for granted. Most days we go on and do everything like we do any other day, we almost never stop what we are doing and talk about the things we have here in America. We are only focused on how many likes we get on photos, how many followers we have, and how we look everyday. We have many gifts in our generations because we can be whatever we want to be, free to do whatever we want to do, and have a very good army that protects our land while we do what we want to do.
There Immigration issue in American now, which I think it's bad. Some people can't even go back to America which really sucks. After the new president became the president, a lot of things change. Some people come here for vacation, and some for education. Immigration issue is like someone who stole your
Immigration is a great thing in my opinion. Immigration brings new people to new places and new foods and different ways of agriculture. People also bring together religion and races that combine and make new races. If immigration didn't happen then we would only eat certain types of food only have one or two types of religion and be a very simple, boring type of people. Also we wouldn't have certain materials because most inventions we use today were not only made by the people whose parents were not born here, because most of their parents or they themselves were not born here.
America has given me my religion. The thing that I practice everyday, the one thing that gives me hope in the future. America has provided me different types of religious opportunities. Just imagine going to church every day and thinking that I was able to be here because america gave me the option too. Though has religion divided us from other countries? So I am glad to say that I was born in America. America has given me my religion.
Immigration issues are rise year by year because a lot of people keep moving out, there are too much issues bring by immigrants.
Transitions are never an easy thing to conquer. It is often hard and stressful to cope with changes to one’s surrounding, but in the cases in which one manages to conquer this obstacle, elevation of knowledge and experience are great results gained from this achievement. I originally came from Africa and recently moved to the United States to join my mother and my step father. This great change in the things I had become accustomed to in my daily life was not easy, furthermore taking into account the fact that I had never experienced a transition so little as shifting from one residence to another.
My story starts in the year of 2003, when I decided to follow up on my
In 1985 I was 21 years old and when I decided to join the United States Air Force. After graduating boot camp, I went to tech school located in Denver, Colorado. I can remember as we checked in I was given a blank sheet of paper and told to write down three places in the world that I might like to be stationed. After finishing tech school, I discovered where I was going taken from one of the three places on my list. My orders were for Kadena an Air force base located in Okinawa, Japan. One of my choices was Hawaii, but it was after all an island, and I was happy with the location. As I reminisce of my time spent in Okinawa, what I remember the most is the beauty of the island, the magnificent blue ocean,
First, America has gave us freedom and rights. America has gave us the right to pick a leader to represent our beautiful country and to vote for many things, and to let us, the people, have a say in things. America gave me the equality of every other human being, and to be treated fairly and with respect. It also has gave it rights to be people and make our own decisions to do what we want to do. It has gave us rights and freedom to be equal.
Their are so many things that America has given to my generation, one of the most important, and bigger things to me is our freedom. The first way that America fought for our freedom was in 1775 through 1783 when America went to war with Britain. Britain was controlling the U.S, raising tax payments, and Britain gave the Americans lack of representation, America fought and gave our generation, our freedom from Britain. Another example from America giving my generation freedom was in 1861 to 1865, for the battle of African American freedom.
“Welcome to the United States!” With my family through about sixteen hours long flight form opposite the earth China, I got this greeting from the customs officer in the airport of New York City. This is the first time I go abroad from China. Even through the long journey makes my body exhausted, it cannot prevent my enthusiasm to discover this new place in front of my eyes. Everything in here is interesting for me, such as the diverse passages with different skin colors, the glittering array of merchandises in the store, and the super attractive advertising on the walls. While I was watching the surrounding, the airport broadcasted an announcement on which I did not understand what it is saying. I recognized
