JUDISM COMPARED TO ISLAM
Judaism is one of the oldest monotheistic religions with Islam. Judaism embraces a set of beliefs and practices whose base is in the Hebrew Bible or Tanakh; this religion dates back two thousand years before Christ, when Abraham migrates toward Palestine by the indication of a God who communicated with him and claiming to be the one God (as all his ancestors revered and worshiped many gods-false) . Compared to Islam who it is also an Abrahamic monotheistic religion whose dogma is based on the Quran, which establishes as a fundamental idea to believers that "There is no god but Allah" and that Muhammad is the messenger of Allah.

Islam began with the preaching of Mohammed in the year of 622 in Mecca (located in Saudi Arabia) under the leadership of Mohammed and his successors, Islam spread rapidly. The Arabic word Allah means "God". Islamic define Islam as "submission to God Almighty" through of monotheism, obedience and abandon idolatry. Islam 's holy book is called Quran dictated by Allah to Muhammad through the angel Gabriel. Followers of Islam are called Muslims mean "undergoing". They believe that Muhammad is the last prophet sent by God. Muslims accept as a prophet Adam, Noah, Abraham, Moses, Solomon, and Jesus. They also accept the Torah as holy books, Salomon’s books and the Gospels. In addition, Muslims have faith in that any individual, who bow to God, praises and worships him, will be compensated with eternity.
According to the teaching of Judaism there is no set of beliefs upon the acceptance of which the Jew may find salvation. Even Maimonides ' thirteen articles of faith, as close as Judaism ever came to a catechism, is not binding on the conscience of Jews. Judaism has historically put more emphasis on writing the creed. Nevertheless, from Talmudic times, as a way of life Judaism has been distinguished by giving special emphasis to certain beliefs and

The Islamic religion is a Middle Eastern, Arabic Peninsula, based religion that originated right around the 7th c. and is based on the teachings of the Prophet Muhammad. The definition of the word Islam means "submission" in Arabic, and connotes the notion of a total surrender of oneself to God, Allah in the Arabic language. Individuals who practice Islam are known as Muslims, which, again in Arabic, means "one who submits to God"
Judaism, which originated in the middle east, is one of the oldest religions in the world. Judaism is the religion from where Catholicism and Islam have their roots. The main difference between Judaism and the previously mentioned religions is that Judaism is based on the old testament entirely excluding the new testaments in its teachings. Jews believe that they are the people chosen by God and that because of the covenant they have the duty, more than any other group of people, to keep the law of God. The law of God in Judaism comes in the form of the Torah. The books of Genesis, Exodus, Leviticus, Numbers and Deuteronomy, which are said to have been written by Moses, form the Torah.
Judaism is one of the major monotheistic religions of the world and the oldest compared to Christianity and Islam. It emerged in the Middle East over 3500 years ago. Its main belief is that God appointed the Jews to be his chosen people in order to set an example of holiness and ethical behaviour to the world. Therefore, attributing all scripts to be abiding laws. However, in modern days and with the societal and ideological changes, many movements within Judaism are noted worldwide. Amongst the main restructuring movements are: Reform and Orthodox. The difference among the two, in a simple reasoning, can be explained by the degree to which traditional observance is obligatory. The two can be consecutively classified as being modern and liberal,
The religious philosophy of Judaism during the Second Period time includes: Pharisees, Sadducees, Essenes, and Zealots. Judaism is based on worshipping the one true God, circumcision as a sign of being one of God’s chosen people, worships on the Sabbath, obeying God’s laws and following the traditions given from one generation to another.
Islam is an Arabic word meaning submission and therefore Islam religion is believed to be an Abrahamic religion which believes in submission to the almighty God Allah and Muhammad as the prophet. Quran is the holy book believed to be the guideline of the Muslims who are the followers of the Islamic religion. It is believed that Allah repeatedly revealed to Muhammad verbally through angel Gabriel and recited in the Quran (Hadith of Revelation, Volume 1, Book 1, Number 3). Over time particular aspects arose from the Quranic teachings and Muslims began to have questions about the teachings and translation of The Quran, thus, narrations were developed in Hadiths.
Judaism bases its foundation of understanding around the Torah. The Torah is the whole body of Jewish law and teachings or the Jewish bible. “Judaism may be described as an "ethical monotheism", a religion based on a concept that there is a single incorporeal God who gives commandments which constitute a moral law for all humanity (Lacey, 2007).” Judaism is based on religious laws. “The Oral Law is a legal commentary on the Torah, explaining how its commandments are to be carried
First, I would explain what Judaism is. Creating a central leader or group, no single founder and not a theological decision Judaism, one can be defined as a religious or ethnic group. The various traditions related to the Jewish people. In religious terms, the Jewish people have experienced their long and difficult history. In the religious sense, "Israel" in response to the recognition of God's call and God, through one of the law given to Moses and the prophets (Fischer 246).Unique faith was introduced in Jewish theology is the idea of a special covenant relationship between God and the Jews. This covenant is the responsibility of all. In side of people, they are expected to obey God. In God's side, God is bound to give preferential treatment
Judaism originated a very long time ago, it is a part of the Bronze Age Polytheistic Ancient Semitic religions. The Jewish calendar goes back more than 5000 years, most scholars date the beginning of the religion of the Israelites to the known founder, Abraham, whose life is generally dated around 2000 to 1800 B.C.E. Abraham came to believe that the universe was the works of a single creator, and taught this to other believers. Therefore, Judaism is the first recorded religion to advocate monotheism, meaning there is only one God. Both Christianity and Islam found some of their roots in Judaism, about 2,000 years after Abraham, Jesus was born into Judaism. Then after Jesus, Muhammad could trace his ancestry back to Abraham. Judaism has three essential parts the written Torah, the recognition of Israel, which are the descendants of Abraham, as uniquely holy people chosen by God, and also it is a requirement that Israel lives in accordance with God's laws as it’s said in the Torah.
The history of the Jewish faith begins with the Hebrew bible or the Tanankh which has been referred to as the old testament by Christians (Fisher, 2005). The history begins with Moses who led the people according to gods commandments. This includes new teachings and a book called the Talmund. The Jewish people believe that if they obey God’s commands in turn God will deliver on promises he had made to them. The Torah is a set of rules that was given to the Jewish people by Moses. It contains rules for living a moral
Due to society’s current changing attitudes, Judaism needs to modify its beliefs and practices to in order to remain viable and significant to its followers, as well as the rest of the world. By remaining dynamic, Judaism is able to appeal to individuals by guiding them on beliefs, ethics and laws of the religious tradition while still remaining relevant to current society. Despite these changes to maintain its relevance, the true essence of Judaism is still preserved.
“One goal of Judaism is to promote constant remembrance of God throughout one’s daily life.” (Lesson 10-18) Two events that became fundamental parts of Judaism I believe are significant to Judaism today were the covenant and their major festival periods, Passover also known as Pesach, to be specific. In the beginning, Judaism was originally a polytheistic religion but now it is Monotheistic. It is the earliest of the Abrahamic religions and one of the oldest religions. “The basic Human lineage of the Hebrew people begins with the patriarch Abraham, who travelled from Mesopotamia to Canaan. Abraham’s God occasionally made promises to Abraham and sometimes made demands of him, most famously that he sacrifice his own son. The major promise of
Judaism is a abrahamic religion. There are two writing for the practices and the beliefs of the jewish religion these are the Torah and the Talmud. The Jewish religion believes in one God, therefore each person can have a individual relationship with God.
As a religion, Islam is based on the teachings of Muhammad, embodying a sound belief in one God (Allah). Islam is an Arabic word meaning submission, surrender, and obedience (Maududi, 1). It also stands for peace. Its followers are known as Muslims or Moslems. Islam emerged in Arabia, specifically in the city of Mecca, in the seventh century C.E. (Matthews, 386). With the evolution of Islam in Mecca, Mecca is known as the center of Islam. Islam is the youngest of the major world religions with the exception of Sikhism, which is a derivative of Hindu and Muslim beliefs that appeared in India. Islam is a universal religion of monotheism. The goal of Islam is to
The religion of Islam dates back to the 7th century CE and the life of its founder, Muhammad of Mecca, in Saudi Arabia. These two combined, form the Islamic creed.
