Confined space is very important topic to talk about and to be aware of all hazards related to it. First of all confined space is defined as any place that human can fully enter and perform work in and it has limited entry also it is not designed for continuous work. Most of the people think that confined space is only a small and narrow place, where it can be partly large. Confined space can be tank, manholes, ship, reaction vessels...etc.
Confined space is a matter of life and death. People entering confined space may facing lack of oxygen, toxic gases, high temperature, electrical shock and fire hazard. So it is employer responsibility to evaluate the dangers of the work inside such spaces before issuing permit-required confined space. Also

Methane will displace oxygen. It is an explosive gas and is lighter than air. Carbon monoxide has about the same weight as air so it can evenly distributed throughout the space. It prevents your body from absorbing oxygen causing you to suffocate.
Moreover, employer needs to ensure that the tests are taken by a trained worker and the result is recoded on the entry permit. So, if the gas levels are unsafe, ventilation must be applied and then retest before entering. Even the gas levels are within limit you must still ventilate the space before entering. Some people think using the ventilator as a vacuum to draw air out of the confined space. This way may draw a toxic gases from other parts of the space. Keeping fan blows fresh air into the space will provide a continuous supply of fresh air and prevent contaminants buildup.
While the employee is inside the confined space, an attendant outside the confined space must be kept standby to communicate with hem and he must be equipped with rescue equipment. The employee entering confined space may carry a communication means with hem, lightning source, oxygen analyzer so if the level of oxygen drops, the analyzer sounds alarm and the space should be evacuated quickly. After finishing the work, the checklist has to be
* Within such an environment it would be difficult to ensure the safety of the company employees.
| State how the health and safety control equipment relevant to the work should be used in accordance with the given instructions.
Before I start work, I ensure that the environment is spacious to avoid any accidents. By ensuring that the floor is dry and clear of any obstruction or material that could result to risk of an accident to both the service user and member of staff in line with Health and Safety first Aids Regulations 1987. I carry out checks on the residential areas and on the surroundings, fire checks and parked the wheelchairs and Zimmer frames in their appropriate places to avoid any accidents. I check to see that all doors and windows were locked and secured and areas are hazard

A. When a person's lawful employment requires that he work in a dangerous location or a place that involves unusual possibilities of injury, or requires that in the line of his duty he/she take risks which ordinarily a reasonably prudent person would avoid, the necessities of such a situation, insofar as they limit the caution that he/she can take for his/her own safety, lessen the amount of caution required of him by law in the exercise of ordinary care.
The hospital policy for fire drills requires one drill per shift per quarter. The audit shows that there are some compliancy concerns regarding the fire drills. During third shift, for the first and third quarters, no fire drill occurred. Also, there was no fire drill on the second shift during the fourth quarter. Obviously, there should be further study to determine the cause for the compliancy issue vs. staffing deficiencies during third shift. Additionally, each department will have a safety monitor assigned to ensure the fire drills occur as per hospital policy. The safety monitor will complete a form documenting the staff involved in the fire drill, date, and time the drill took place and will keep a copy in the safety manual to be inspected monthly.
| Explain why and when health and safety control equipment, identified by the principles of protection, should be used, relating to moving, handling and/or storing resources, and the types, purpose and limitations of each type, the work situation, occupational use and the general work environment, in relation to:
As an employer, you need to be aware of the processes and duties produced in these regulations and the practical implications imposed. There is also a duty to involve employees in all health and safety

There are many procedures, but the last procedure that I am going to look at is Gas Leak. There are many ways or things that are needed to be taken under consideration in order to maintain a healthy, safe and secure environment. As in the event of gas leak or the suspected gas leak, all the staff must extinguish all naked flames and do not switch ON or OFF any electrical appliances including lights. Do not operate any electrical switches, either "ON" or
According to the Factories and Machinery (Safety, Health and Welfare) Regulations 1970, Regulations 13 (2), among the principles of occupational safety in confined work space entry are as the following:
(3) Supervise the accident area until fire, if any, is under control or until area is safe for entry by authorized personnel.
4 (a) Identify THREE types of emergency in the workplace which require the evacuation of
One of the health and safety practices carried out that was observed was that there was a fire extinguisher placed on every floor in the work place, mounted on a wall where it was at easy access to every employee.
