Chapter 5-Input
Calculation of Construction and Demolition processes
Before getting to the discussion is better to see the input and output sheet in this study . chapter 5 focuses on right side(input) f residential projects in CH_IN. This chapter strives to explain and calculate all input’s items through A & D processes.

Why do construction and demolition matters? In simple terms they are the discipline that ultimately helps to build a better green world for current anf future generations. China is expected to add another 280 million people in urban area in the next 20 years, and that will drive additional urban residential building ,onstruction estimated to be nearly 1.5 billion m2 per year through 2030. Chinese buildings use much less energy per square meter compared with many other developed countries (Diamond et al. in 2013), but typical buildings are not necessarily efficient. Maghale cost –effective options for transforming…Every year, more than half of the world’s new buildings are constructed in Asia. China is the world’s largest construction market. It has 40 billion square meters in existing buildings and aswe mention above, adds an additional two billion square meters of floor area each year, almost half the global total.In India, the built area more than doubled between 2000 and 2005.
The Indian construction industry is an integral part of the economyin india and is poised for solid growth due to industrialisation, urbanisation and economic development together with people’s expectations of improved living standards level. The construction sector employs approximately 31 million people in India, accounts for some 6 to 8% of GDP and, after agriculture, is the largest employment sector in the country. The construction industry in general has been growing at 9 to 11% year on year, primarily due to the strength of increased domestic and international manufacturing activities and industrial growth. There have
Construction is always demanded because there are always repairs needed or new buildings being constructed. In a city there is more demand for these kind of jobs because there is more people and more buildings than a rural or country area. The total number of jobs for construction in 2014 was 945,400 with a 6% increase for the next 10 years. The estimated employment change for 2024 is 60,400. With these statistics, it shows that the jobs for this particular occupational field is increasing. In 2015, California was the state that had the biggest job increase in construction. California added 59,300 jobs which increased the total construction jobs by 8.6%. Other states that have also increased construction jobs are Florida, New York, and Hawaii. This proves the need for construction is greater in the areas with dense population and larger
Construction is a highly profitable industry that has the ability to support workers with decent wages.
Mel recognized the issues within the group and began the re-construction process. He seemed to be using two methods to assess the group’s usefulness. Mel used a guided group discussion method to learn about the group’s opinions. He then incorporation a group action method based on the needs of the group members. The facilitator used these methods to guide the groups’ future actions for continuing the group sessions. The group members seemed to be more motivated and committed to working together.
Bureau of Labor Statistics says, “...projected to grow 13 percent from 2014 to 2024, faster than the average for all occupations.” However, this projected growth may vary due to which specific construction job someone wants to go into. Also, “When the economy slows down, so does construction, and there may be less work for Construction Tradespeople” (Career Cruising). As a result, one of the disadvantages of this job might be not being able to work all of the time because of bad economy.However, there are also risk in this job like standing on tall things, injuries, illnesses, chemical burn, and muscle fatigue from carrying heavy objects. On the other hand, there are also advantages to this job such as staying active and having opportunities to chase special interests. The benefits and outlooks of this job are a big part of choosing if someone wants to pursue this
Construction law is associated with matters relating to building construction, engineering and related fields. It is a combination of contract law, commercial law, planning law, employment law and tort. The parties that get affected by this law are many. From financial institutions to construction workers, many including architects, engineers, surveyors and builders are both benefited and penalized because of construction law (Wikipedia 2015). Construction law covers a wide domain of legal issues such as;
The Department for Business Innovation & Skills defining construction section as three sectors, they are contracting, services and products. Construction of building (e.g. commercial, residential), civil engineering (e.g. roads, tunnels, bridges and utilities) and special construction activities (e.g. electrical and plumbing installation, demolition and site preparation, plastering, painting, roofing etc.) are classified as contracting part. For the construction service sector, firms usually take part in wholesale, renting and leasing of construction equipment and providing architectural and quantity survey services. Lastly, manufacture of construction products and materials such as bricks, tiles metal structures, doors and windows of metal, electric lighting equipment etc. are representing the product part of construction industry.
Keeping all this in mind, builders have to work alongside clients to satisfy their project needs. Projects are also being built quicker because of the demand to occupy them instantly.
What are construction projects? In short, construction projects have inherent characteristics of high levels of complexity, uncertainty and uniqueness (CIB, 2014). Complexity due to technology of modern buildings construction, uncertainty created by the inevitable time for a construction project life cycle and uniqueness of each project.

The determination of demand of goods and services produced the construction industry is a complicated process. This is partly due to the cost, size, longevity and investment nature of the and partly due to the broad range of what constitutes construction activity. It is difficult to envisage just one housing market (Danny Myer, 2004).Factors affecting built facilities construction demand can be categorised as general and local factors. General factors are political, economic, social, and technological and legal/legislative based. Local factors

The role of a Construction Manager is responsible for running and managing a construction site or a large part of it. This job involves preparing the site and communicating with other construction professionals such as architects, engineers, buyers, estimators and surveyors before construction work starts. They are in charge of developing the program of work and strategy to make the project happen. Planning ahead to prevent problems on site before they occur such as, planning the delivery and storage of equipment and materials. They have to make safety inspections of the site when work is underway and ensuring regulations relating to health, safety and the environment (HSE) are adhered to overseeing the running of several projects. They have to communicate with a range of people such as; the client, subcontractors, suppliers, the public and the workforce. Construction Managers are the creators for the future, planning and creating new advanced energy efficient smart homes and buildings,
Buildings account for at least 40% of energy use in most countries. The construction sector in India is witnessing a fast growth due to several factors. Some of the key growth drivers are increased demand for housing, strong demographic impetus, expansion of organized retail, increased demand for commercial office spaces by multinationals and IT (information technology) hubs, and coming up of SEZs (special economic zones). The gross built-up area added to commercial and residential spaces was about 40.8 million square metres in 2004/05, which is about 1% of annual average constructed floor area around the world, and the
