Introduction
Effective implementation of strategic plan is a critical task for the management. Before the implementation of this plan, it is essential for the business personnel to collect pertinent information about the strategic plan. In this concern, various database systems have been introduced. For effective management of the staff functions and line functions as well as execution of strategic plan, the company should make use of the data oriented model. The systematic integration of the goals can be done with the help of a well developed information system (O'Brien, 2003).
Some of the important database systems are management information system (MIS), knowledge management system (KMS), enterprises resource planning (ERP),

Knowledge management system is very advantageous for the organizations in sharing of information about the organization, in keeping down excess of work, in reducing the effective consumption of time and in codifying the knowledge. With the help of this system, the company can manage needed documents and share information within different levels (Alavi & Leidner, 2001).
Enterprises Resource Planning: It is an important database to implement the strategic plan effective. This database system assists the firm to restore the information about the resources of the firm such as human resource, financial resources, details about material, suppliers, vendors, and other tangible assets and deals with the planning and use of resources used in the business (Chiat & Ching, 2004). ERP solution has an advantage of fast implementation as the design and development is eliminated being a package. The ERP provides the methodology of assessing the resources needed for a given business in order to achieve business objectives. It also helps to execute the strategies, plans, decisions, and actions within a time limit (O'Brien, 2003).
In addition, some other features of ERP database system are command in language and manage effective communication, separation of the program code and the data areas, transactional flow control in the strategic plan, central table system for
The superior capabilities of knowledge management systems provide an opportunity for the business to engage the most effective components and recognize the importance of communication to make informed, accurate decisions (McGrath, 2001). This system can organize the company’s knowledge resources, knowledge obtaining, organizing, and applying to make a sound routine the will enforce effectiveness (Niu, 2008). The dynamic function of knowledge management to create, capture, and apply knowledge to achieve an organization’s objective will allow them to be more profitable and successful (Zucker, 1986). In addition to increasing profits, the system can be also used to reduce costs and enhance research and development (DeTienne & Jackson, 2001). With all of these advantages, it would be wasteful for a company to not employ knowledge management. As seen in the Discovery Communications, Inc. example, the company can attribute their new productivity levels and increase in ease of securing documents to the knowledge management system that put into place by Carefree Technology. Like Discovery Communications, Inc., knowledge management is so popular today because companies can collect, process and share knowledge to ignite employees ' creativity which in turn will make the business grow. Wenhong and Jianhua (2009) explained the core of knowledge management is to convert company’s knowledge resources into an increased company
Today Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) is extensively adopted by many organizations regardless of kind and size, mainly because it provides enterprise-wide view of information across all their business operations and help organizations achieve consistency across all their functional departments. The potential benefits of ERP system implementation include improved coordination across functional areas, increased efficiency, reduced operational costs, rapid access to information for decision making, managerial control and support for strategic planning.
Adoption of an ERP system enables an organization to eliminate dozens or even hundreds of separate systems and replace them with a single, integrated set of applications for the entire enterprise.
In order to obtain peer reviewed research articles related to the impact of the psychological contract on job satisfaction in community mental health care workers it is important to review research that has been completed in a variety of researchers and in different settings. The databases that were selected to locate peer reviewed articles for this paper where Academic Search Complete and ProQuest Psychology. Tutorials were available for each of these databases and ProQuest was used to learn how to navigate through the data base since it was not a familiar data base to this author.
Enterprise resource planning enables firms to replace different departmental information systems and database silos with systems that collectively work as a single cross functional database. ERP systems are available for every key business function such as order processing, production control, HR, warehouse, marketing, finance and much more. By having a common technology and database platform throughout the firm, systems and processes from various departments can be integrated that achieve superiority in terms of enhanced cost, operational and productivity benefits. Implementing an ERP system requires careful planning to achieve the targeted benefits and minimize the risk of project failure.
ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) implementation is regarded as complex, cumbersome and costly, and, very often, it exceeds the initial estimated resources. The process involves a thorough examination of the business processes in the organisation; selection of the best available software solution that matches the requirements of the enterprise; configuration of the selected systems;, training of staff; and customisation of the selected software solutions including
Personal privacy today is a controversial and complex topic, which is influenced by a number of factors. There is an integral role that databases play in this highly debated topic. The fact that many people now carry out their transactions electronically is another important factor. There is also pressure on personal privacy for increased national security around the world to combat terrorism. In addition, personal privacy is even threatened by commercial factors and the Internet.
A report has been written describing the knowledge management systems and reviewed based on various aspects which was used to determine whether or not the system considered could be used for managing knowledge. It was through researching journals, articles and other reliable sources from the internet this review was written which led to me finding out more on the topic of knowledge management which has considerably increased my understanding of the topic
The object of this research paper is to describe the implementation challenges of an enterprise system, then to analyze the changes required in its implementation and discuss the advantages of ERP over legacy systems. Some of the informational background will be discussed in this paper regarding enterprise resource planning systems. This paper will construct some examples from my research findings to show why ERP has advantages over legacy systems. This paper will also not only provide strengths of having an enterprise system, but will show weaknesses as well. And to conclude, this paper will explain why and how enterprise systems will be of benefit for organizations and business with decision-making processes.
In today 's competitive environment, organisations need to be reformed to get competitive advantages. The most efficient and effective way to achieve this goal is to introduce a new information system (IS). Chen et al (2012) One of the big systems is enterprise resources planning which is an application software which has a broad set of activities supported by many modules that integrates all business processes and data into a single system which helps businesses keep track and access to all their daily data. Jalal, a (2011)
A relational database is a collection of data which organized into a set of tables that can be accessed in multiple ways without having to reorganize the tables’ oftenly.Relational Database was proposed by Edgar Codd around the time 1969.It has become prevalent for commercial applications. In the 20th century there were countless Relational Database System (RDBMS) take for instance: IBM.DB2 and Oracle.
ERP system is based on the single database system this database access to everyone in the department which provides very significant impact on the operational command on the business. It also makes easier to decision making process in the business. According to data in 2000 organization spend over 20 billion USD for ERP planning. Which rises 6.7 billion only in a year and they estimated that will be more than 27 billion next 8 years. (Wang, 2008)
Enterprise Systems (ES), also called Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems, are among the most important business information technologies to emerge in the last decade. While no two industries Enterprise Systems are the same, the basic concept of Enterprise Systems is focused mainly on standardization, synchronization and improved efficiency. ERP is basically the successor to material resource planning (MRP) and integrated accounting systems such as payroll, general ledger, and billing. The benefits of Enterprise Systems are very significant: coordinating

For the last two decades, Enterprise Resource Planning systems significantly attracted the industries’ attention. However, ERP implementations is considered one of the most difficult to implement difficult to maintain systems. Hence, there are some critical factors which impact the success or failure of ERP implementation. These factors do not only affect the process of ERP implementation but may also impact the business as whole and in some cases it will result
