People handle stress in a myriad of ways. It is a love-hate relationship in every sense. Many laugh, cry, become catatonic or frenzied, gamble, hoard, act out or become structured. Stress, and it's perception, can be motivating- or literally a killer. Birth itself is a contradiction in stresses. While the mother's body fights pain and fear to give life, the child being expelled from the safety of the womb, protests; moments later when the mother enfolds the child within her arms, the physical stress washes away on a tide of oxytocin and endorphins, bringing joy and love, a different set of emotional stresses. Growing up, our personality becomes shaped by our collective experiences with stress, and our DNA's reaction to it. How much? What type? What age? Are those around us stoic in the face of stress? Or Abusive? …show more content…
Anxious, exhausted, desperate people are going to react, whether rightly or wrongly, and our past election was this reaction. The next four years we are going to have to be resilient and strong. We need to learn how to deal with the fear and uncertainty, to adapt to the new stresses of a different administration. Hopefully with love and tolerance informing us along the way. Consequently, we need to decide how we want the world to define us? Are we a benevolent, inclusive Nation? Just and merciful in our vigilance for peace? Or will we be oppressive and militarized, in a feverish quest for more power and control of resources? How we as a Nation are perceived, starts within us, the individual. "We the People" are the heart of America! The government, our elected representatives work for US. Think about this through these times, and what example you want yourself, and them, to set. First for your family, and second for your community, and its people. Hold yourself and your representatives accountable, the future depends on it. "United we stand. Divided we

As we continue in our busy lives, we always take into account what the next days, weeks, or even months hold for us. But what do we Americans hope for in future years, as a country? There have been several events that have occurred around the world affecting our lives in a positive way. However, there were many crises that have set us back, though we try to strive and become even stronger. To continue improving America, we must have the ability to come together as a whole and progress as the days go by, setting a foundation for our future generations.
Throughout American history, we have been through some difficult times, but our hope for the future is that we will work together, put others’ before ourselves, and be prepared for what will happen.
In the wake of the recent presidential election a wave of discomfort, despair, and devastating anxiety has swept across some of our citizens. Protests and riots have emerged across the U.S. in an effort to make this realized apprehension heard. Those who feel negatively impacted by the election may feel lost or uncertain of the future for their families, friends, or for themselves. They may feel as if their voices have gone unheard.
America is at a crossroads. We are on a dangerous path of inequality, environmental distress, strained race relations, and the increasing threat of gun violence, police brutality, and terrorism. The 2016 election represents a potential mandate on the future of this country. There could be more of the same, with typical establishment candidates keeping us on the road we are on. There are also outsiders who feel America needs to be radically changed, but the needed change is highly debated. The winner of the election will help determine where America is going. There is a movement to bring this country up to the standards set by European countries like Germany, Norway, and Denmark. Contrastingly, there is a movement to bring this country back

We need to become unified and work together to win our nation back. We need the right leaders running our country with respect and fear of God. We need to listen to God’s advice and wisdom found in the Bible. Isaiah 30:21 says, And your ears shall hear a word behind you, saying, “This is the way, walk in it,’’ when you turn to right or when you turn to the left. We need the leaders of America to know God’s voice so He has a say in our law-making decisions. We need to realize the importance of electing leaders who spend time in the Word and have a real relationship with God. As a teen who has seen many of the worldly and dangerous things, I am scared for this generation and generations to come. We should not be under religious death like we are. We have the best resource to make America great again. It is Jesus Christ the Son of the living God. He came down from Heaven and died on the cross for our sins. Our nation has not wanted to accept that. People must be willing to stand firm and step out of their comfort zone. Let us unite and stand up and fight for our freedoms and rights
